My son is 6 and he like transformers and power rangers, ben 10 and the likes but to be honest with you I really think he looks to me. I say this because I see him trying to be just like me. I am a single dad, I do have custody of my kids and they are with me all the time.

Not sure he looks up to one, but just read an old school Curious George book I had from being a kid, and George is pretty naughty in it, gets sent to prison, and smokes a pipe. Then again so did the man in the yellow hat and my 3 year old asked what the pipe was? Plus the man in the yellow hat is kind of evil and basically kidnaps George in a sack and sends him to the zoo. Next time Ill review the book first, even though I read it 20 years ago!

My son is a huge fan of the Backyardigans. He's only 2 and doesn't watch TV, but I turn cartoons on as background noise since they're about the only appropriate thing on TV for him to listen to anymore. He will actually sit and watch the Backyardigans for 5 minutes or so. It's a great silly show, all about imagination and exploring.

Good question. My son is 2and a half, I dont let him watch cartoons on tv (i'm aware of that he will soon enough but if i can help it he's not watching them now. something about sponge bob and barney are not appealing. So my son watches 3d animated movies. (i work on 3d animation on the computer so i guess thats another reason).
He loves Shrek. has since he saw Shrek. that is his favourite as well as good ol' Mickey Mouse!! can't get enough of Mickey which I am fine with!
and but here are a list of what he likes:
Flushed Away ( he likes Spike)
Chicken Little
Over the Hedge
Cars
Shark Tale
I enjoy watching them with him, and they are child friendly movies His hero tho is Superman/Clark Kent

My 5 year old daughter just ADORES Hello Kitty! She has Hello Kitty posters, toys, calendars, trash cans, stuffed toys, books, pencils, purses and whatever else she sees that is Hello Kitty. She even had a Hello Kitty theme for her 5th birthday party.

My 8 month old son likes Little Einsteins. And it doesn't bother me too much either. It isn't irritating for adults. And it's very educational.
