My friends and i for some reason just want to build a tree house. lol We dont got much money and we dont have much wood. I wanted to know before i do this, will i get in trouble if i go take some wooden pallets in a back of my local store? they are just sitting there pilled up and theres plenty to build a boat.

Yes that would be stealing. Home supply stores empty pallets all of the time. But companies pick them up for reuse.

We kind of had some... I lived at a property that had a rainforest for a while... We did have a Swiss family Robinson type tree with ropes (cursory of rRgwah) and a few other things, platforms, a tree house that you crawed up the inside of the tree to get too and a cool handmade bridge for a river that was there.... Being in that environment as a kid was just awesome! xx

I dont know where you live..around here they are grateful if you take the pallets away. Why dont you go during business hours and ask the manager..likely they will say yes...better safe than sorry. They make good project lumber but are quite hard to get apart without splitting the boards..go for it..it will be a fine treehouse

If I was you, I just ask the owner if he wants to get rid of them. Tell him they are an eye sore, and that you can put them to good use. If you just try and walk off with them, you might get caught, and charged with stealing private property.
If he asks what you want them for, tell him the truth, and invite him to lend a hand, or give some pointers.
