Some that are acceptable are smoking, pollution, and stray dogs. The hard part is that I have to find a problem and find a solution, or suggest solutions.

As odd as it sounds, natural make-up used to be a big seller. Now I don't see it so often. That's a possible avenue for you to follow.

I've often wondered about the eco-friendliness of computers and other technology. Are they causing issues we don't even know about. So many people are "plugged in"-- are they causing ecological issues by their very use or when they toss an old computer for a new one?

Pesticides and the like are a huge issue. We have to use them so much to control bugs and weeds, but how much damage are they doing in the long run?

Clothes are another possibility. Have you ever thought about the synthetic fabrics and dyes and how often people throw out their old clothes? People could be polluting with fabric from the production facility to the trash can!

A final idea: gardens-- so many people create their ideal garden using plants that do not belong in their area. Sometimes those plants choke out the ones that grow their naturally, like those gorgeous flowers did in the Uglies. It's an idea worth looking into.

I'm not sure I understand your question. How are stray dogs acceptable? They catch and spread diseases, reproduce without restraint--creating even more problems, starve to death, get killed in traffic, get into fights--I'm sorry but I don't find that acceptable at all, which is why I have adopted 3 right off the streets.
The only solutions for this is to find a way to make people be more responsible for their animals. There are already low cost programs in place for spaying and neutering, and I would like to see people fined heavily for allowing their pets to run loose and breed randomly.
I have no idea if this is even close to what you were looking for but thanks for letting me vent.
