Before. That way you wont have to be moving things around and covering things when you paint.

There's good sides to both approaches - if you do it before you move in, then you don't have to worry about the furniture getting in the way. If you do it after, then you can see how the light affects the room and how your furniture works with it.

Personally, I prefer to do it after, but that's because I'm an artist and things like light and shading are important for me.

The smart thing is to paint then start moving in. We have moved a lot and we have done it both ways. but painting be4 u move in is the smartest.

I would say before!! After then you have to get all your furniture out of the room and cover everything then tape it off
(yuckies) It will defiantly save you time before. Good Luck!!
