What makes a great leader is the ability to listen to the followers. It is a cycle. Sometimes I am the leader and sometimes i am the follower.
I am the leader of my grove... i am the grove mother, and i learn a lot from my grove family. My children teach me all the time. We have to take turns in this world leading and following. Getting hung up leading brings out the weakness of overinflated ego and is a lot of pressure that causes disfunction. Getting hung up in following all the time lowers belief in one's self to make decisions for our own lives and robs us of the perception of self responsability.

I think that there are more than just followers and leaders. Some people go on their own path and prefer to not be followed. That's me, for the most part. I may follow some and lead some, but mostly do my own thing. It seems to work best this way.

I am a follower and Christ Jesus is my leader. I hope to set examples and people may want to follow Christ with me because he is working through me, but by no means do I lead anyone.

I am a leader. I make my own decisions and my own choices in life.I'm not a crowd follower.I guess my leader would be Jesus and my conscious.I think the followers are gonna end up following the wrong path and getting into trouble. Be your own self and who cares what other people think?

I am a leader. I can make up my own mind, form my own morals and ethics without following any religion that tells me what to do and how to act. Nothing against religions though, they are good for teaching basic principles of life, I just think most people take religion way too far. And then children get confused because alot of people preach what they learn in church, but dont follow what they preach themselves.
People can form their own morals and ethics because people are naturally good natured. It is when religious principles are pushed down people's throats in the wrong way that children rebel or children take the religious teachings too far, and either way it is not good.
If you are a leader, but your head leader is jesus christ as you said, that is fine. But you need to realize how far you should take things when following your religious principles.

In life a good leader knows that there is always a time to be a GREAT follower.
So, at times in my life I am gladly a leader and at others it pleases me to follow, learn, grow and then once again lead.

honestly both.
I follow Jesus Christ, but I know that I am a witness to the world and others will watch and learn from the way i live my life. So while Jesus is a role model for me, others will see me as a role model.
To the user above me, the bible teaches that the penalty of sin is death, since no one cannot live life without sin, then we are all condemed to death, however Jesus came and died in our place. We are purified in God's sight by the blood that was shed by Jesus for us. The penalty for our sin has been paid should you choose to accept it.

Considering that Jesus counseled his followers to be sheeplike (he often referred to them as "sheep" or a "flock") and he discouraged them from reaching out for prominence (when the apostles argued over who was greater on two occassions) your assessment appears flawed. A TRUE Christian should by nature a follower.
The only people I obey are my boss, my government and my parents. I don't really have much of a choice on the first two unless I want to receive punishment, but I choose to respect my parents because I feel they deserve it.

People can be both. They can lead people to Christ yet Christ is ultimately their leader. Do governments have multiple departments and directors yet they serve under the President?
