Just have him snip[ped, along with not mewing, askl your vet to explain just how much longer you'll have this pet because of this choice. It's siomply the smarter thing to do.

My neutered male cat does the same, so this may have nothing to do with it.
Cats meow for a plethera of reasons. They may want something, such as food, love, toys... Mine meows when he wants to use the bathroom and it's not clean to his standards, for example. Other times, he'll stare outside and look at birds, bees, people and meow at them. When he considers it food or hunting material, he gives a distinct chattering meow (which is different from cat to cat).
Try finding out why your cat is meowing and what would make him stop. Is it food? Does he want attention? Does he see something he wants that is outside? Then try finding a solution... If you can't tell, try different things... Give him some love, or fresh water or whatnot.
If he is mature enough it could be the scent of a female in heat. The solution to that is getting him snipped. But if you don't want to get him snipped just yet (or ever), try to figure out other ways.
Last but not least, if you've tried everything, and he still meows constantly, you should look into taking him to the vet. Maybe something is wrong internally. Or maybe your cat's jsut really talkative...

I have 2 male cats and they constantly meow as yours is doing. The only difference is my 2 cats are fixed. I'm not exactly sure why they do this but I was told that they do this when they sense a female cat in heat. The male cats around town also do this which causes a stir with my cats as well as others. During the day I usually spritz them with a little water and they usually stop for a little bit. Either that or I pick them up and show them some attention for a little while and that usually calms them down for a bit. At night I just toss some things to startle them a little bit so they stop long enough for me to get back to sleep. Good Luck!

Every cat who is not neutered will display this 'problem'. Your cat is desperate to find a mate and he's not going to stop until he gets one!
Why not have your cat castrated? It will result in a much happier and healthier cat - it prevents them getting prostate and testicular cancer. How can you live with the smell of tom cat urine anyway, it's hideous!
Basically, castration is the only solution. Why don't you want it done? It's the simplest of the neuter procedures, he will be in and out in a day and completely back to himself by the next day - he won't know what's happened to him except that he feels a lot happier because he's no longer frustrated!

My cat is neutered, and does the same thing. He is allowed in the bedroom, but not on the bed. He is also not allowed outside, and has never been outside. He likes to sharpen his claws on the side of the mattress early in the a.m. and meows late at night. There are other cats in our neighborhood that "visit" him, and they stare at each other and "talk" through the sliding glass doors. I think it's just because he wants attention or food.

Unfortunately the only solution is to neuter him. He wants to go about the town making babies with the local unspayed females. So until he is snipped that drive will always be there.

Yep thats the problem he's looking for a lady friend. It will just get worse either get him a lady friend if u cant to breed or get him fixed. Plus he may start spraying around your house. I'm a cat breeder so I have experience. Hope this helps!

are you sure he's not neutered...?
please make sure, coz thats possible one of the reasons he might need a female cat..
another thing, if he's very young, maybe he needs to go for a walk or something, take my advice, and take him out from time to time (you can get the cat ropes and attach it to his neck when out)..
he might as well be bored.. play with him, and give him more time.. make sure he had water.. and enough food..
do not ignore any abnormal actions he makes.. have a great time with him :)

there could be a queen in the area that's in season. there will be sent left around the area.
if not you may just need to ignore the meowing he just wants the attention and by doing what he is doing is gaining attention. really you should let him out the house cats do like to rome that's natural for them

He needs to be snipped. If not he will ruin your house by marking it up.
Sorry, but it is only irresponsible pet owners who don't spey and neuter.
Get with the program. Otherwise you don't deserve to be a pet owner
Sorry, I'm only telling the facts.
