it depends on an individual and on the circumstances surrounding it but I don't support abortion, so we need to be very careful about it.

Bluebear: really? You think I support war and capital punishment? Now why would I do that when I think all three are forms of murder? Being an animist, I even think that euthanizing animals is murder. But I will not deny that all of this can be necessary.

I believe abortion is murder. I would never have an abortion, but I would NEVER want legislation outlawing abortion. I think it's idiotic. Women are raped, contraceptives fail, health problems arise. There are things that people can't account for in life. Pregnancies can be one of them.

My mother's first pregnancy was with twins. She would have died before they came to term because she had a growth on her uterus. She had to have an abortion to live and have the two children she did end up having. Her biggest problem, was the religion she grew up in. She refused an abortion because of her beliefs, so the doctors didn't tell her what they were going to do. She calls it a miscarriage, but she was billed for an abortion. She snapped, and has never been the same since. She has grown steadily more unhappy and violent. I think that any woman that goes through an abortion should be encouraged to go to therapy. Destroying the life of your flesh and blood can have long term side effects on your mental health.

I think that people should be more focused on reducing the need for abortions than abortions themselves. Right now, let it be a woman's choice. We have other problems to deal with.

pro choice?? pro life???? look, abortion sucks regardless of you position on this. find a woman who had a abortion to tell you it was a great experience and you'll find a crazy person as well. how about pro RESPONSABILITY!!!!!!!! this should be the subject. I'm 38, have a very active sex life ever since i was 15. i have three boys that were no accidents. they were by choice and at a time of my choosing!!!! people are irresponsible these days and act without thought. that is the problem. with so many options available today to prevent pregnantcy to begin with, (i just pull out) why use abortion as a solution to begin with?? ther is always some blow hard that will say what about rape and that is the exception and im sure there are others, but most abortions are done because the two people who made the baby to begin with were just plain old irresponsable.... and sorry ladies, but your mostly to blame. your body, your choice, .........think things through, be responsable, consider and USE your options.

My thoughts on abortion? Hmmm, that's the most open ended question I've heard in a really long time. I'm positive that you put that question on here just to see how many hundreds of people would answer and just how riled up you could get them.

Regardless, I feel compelled to answer. Abortion is the killing of another human life and is, therefore, a sin against God. Anyone who has an abortion will have to answer to God on Judgement Day...........that's my thought.

As I Christian, I know that I am saved by grace through faith. Still.....Judgement Day is something I too will have to face and I'm a little scared as to what that will look like, and I'm saved. Imagine what it will be like for those who are not!

I'm a guy, so I'll never have to have one.

I'm married, and have a beautiful daughter, but unfortunately my wife is apparently incapable of having another child, so she'll never have to worry about having one.

I don't mess around, so I won't ever put another woman in the position of having to consider one.

I would hope noone would ever want an abortion - but I leave that decision up to them, as should everyone else.

If you think abortion is murder, then you should work to help women make the choice to keep their children, or give them options such as giving it up for adoption.

Don't work to make it illegal - especially for cases like rape, incest, or where the mothers health is an issue.

Personally I am pro life, but let me state that is for my OWN body and soul. As for the next woman, I am PRO CHOICE becasue I think that each of us should have the right to choose what is right or wrong for our own bodies, no government, no state, no religion... only the woman whos body is in quesiton.

I think there are many reasons that abortions happen, some are becuase the pregnancy could be life threatening to the woman or the baby. Another could be that the baby will be severly malformed or mentally disabled. I think that a fourteen year old is too young to be a mother in many cases!

I also think that no man or woman was placed on this earth to pass judgement on another person, something about those wihtout sin cast the first stone or something? Well, being that Christiainty is not my faith of choice, I still believe that no one is perfect and as such no one has a right to judge and condemn another person no matter what. (This does not include criminal cases... that is up to the law, this is about ethical and personal)

It is not for us to decide what a woman does with her own body.

I am pro'choice. I believe that each woman has the right to decide what to do with her own body.

Being pro'life is a choice a person made. So either way, its a choice.

The only difference is that pro'lifer's would have their view be the end all be all view. That is the problem.

i think in a way it wrong. But as a young person that has a lot going for you a baby could be a big problem in your life. But if its with someone you truley love and care about then you should do whatever it takes to make it work

I don't agree with it as a whole, but I also believe it depends on the circumstances. I don't believe somebody who gets pregnant as a result of rape - especially where incest is involved - should be forced to carry that child. But I also don't believe abortion is an acceptable form of birth control. People find out their child will have Down's Syndrome so they abort? Sorry - that's wrong and selfish. But overall, it's a personal choice. Do you really think that God doesn't know whether or not a child is going to be aborted when He places it in a womb? He knows every hair on our heads! GOD is the judge...only HE knows what's in a person's heart. As my pastor pointed out in his sermon yesterday: The judgment seat belongs to God, the MERCY seat belongs to us!

The choice comes when the sexual act is done. Having an abortion is getting the easy way out and killing the person that was created.

It is clearly murder.

This idea of making people not have to live with the decisions that they make is decaying society.

It is horrible. No one is "for abortion". It is tragic, unfortunate, horrible, etc. Probably the worst decision a woman might have to make.

Instead of outlawing abortions, we should do everything we can to prevent unwanted pregnancies in the first place. If a woman doesn't want to have a child, then she shouldn't get pregnant.
Everyone is against abortions, but some are against laws restricting abortions. That doesn't mean they support abortion, only that they support the woman in her decision.

I don't believe a man can have the same sort of insight into the topic. They wouldn't have any idea, and should therefore butt-out entirely. Men should be ambivalent, but not indifferent on the topic.

I support a womans right to choose, but ultimately hope she never has to.
