This man ( who was eating at the Big Boy Restaurant) was telling everyone how proud he is to support the troops and to support President Bush. Then his 22 year old son walked in to join his dad. The son was wearing "Goth" looking clothes and his hair all spiked up. I walked up to shake the father's hand and said "Thanks for supporting the troops and the war. ( I told him I served in the military). Then I said "My cousin is a military recruiter and I'd like for your son to join up and wear the proud military uniform". Man!! You'd think I fed both father and son lemons. Both had a look on their face as if they sucked lemons. The father said " But!! But!! I only support the war as long as other men ( Sons ) fight and die. My son is going to college. Son stated: Man! No way will I go into the military....then son said "Are they still fighting in Iraq? The father said "I support the war by being a Republican. I turned around and said to all the people in the restaurant " A true Republican!

Once again you have shown yourself to be a person who is dishonorable by making up a story to try to "prove" your political ideas. No way this actually happened. Maybe the part of the man telling a few people about how he feels about the war but there is no way you would have the balls to confront him about it. You are a gutless coward. My feeling is that if you would lie about this then you are probably lying about having served. If you truly did serve honorably, then do the honorable thing and quit making this **** up. But I would prefer you to do the smart thing and just shut the **** up.

I like what you are saying, but I doubt that it actually happened. I don't think the father would say that he supports the war as long as other men are fighting and dying. I believe that this is how they think but I don't think anyone would say that. He would only say that his son is going to college.
They are all cowards. Are the Bush twins in Iraq? How many Repubs in Congress have kids there? On the other hand, Sen. Jim Webb is a vet and his son is in Iraq right now. He is Dem.

a lot of people are like that, and honestly its their choice. i'm not a political person at all, and really dont support the war itself, but i support the people that are there fighting. my step brother was there for 2 tours, right in the middle of it all. and he WANTED to go back for the second one! so i say good for him and i'm behind him 100%. as for Bush, i wont touch that one. lol

as for these people, i understand where the father is coming from. he thinks its good that people are trying to fight for the cause, but he doesnt want his son there, he doesnt want to risk him dying, and he thinks he has a better future in college. i just think you had a great response, thats all. :) you dont have to share the same opinions

Let's see, where shall I begin . . .?

I guess the easiest way to answer this bloviation is to say that you have no "fellow Americans", because you are not an American. You are a lying slimeball troll who repeatedly posts his pro-Jihadist screed to get a reaction from people.

What a great "telling" story...about the mentality of the Republican party supporters!

I would have then asked him if he had a daughter,nephew....serving. To which I'm sure he would have responded in the same way.

Then I would have asked him if his son was planning on serving in the military "after" college?
At this point under BUSHs administration I'm sure the WAR will still be going on!!!
how about his grandchildren?

Another made up story from a loser. YAWN, you are so transparent.

How does it feel living near a military base and having girls turn you down for dates cause they only date "REAL MEN"

I still think you need help.

OK, you're not on weed.

You claim to not be a troll. Prove it.

And again, quit making up stories. Poorly written, but not as bad as your last attempt.

Good luck.

you should have been harder on him. I support the troops I fought in Iraq and still am in the military. People have there values all backwards.
