I was hoping you would see this question Nikki.

Am I astounded? Yeah, actually I am. I probably shouldn't be though.

Canada isn't looking so bad some days.

Astounded no, saddened yes. Our society is in sad shape and people like this one are not helping. I run into people like that everyday. I wonder how they got that way. Don't they know they can have a strong opinion and not be nasty about it. It seems some delight in being exactly what their beliefs would tell them not to be, tolerant of others and reaching out to them where they are.

YES!

The day I am NOT astounded will be when life will be no longer worth living ... because then the ignorant people will have won.

And the ignorance of that person IS astounding.

No not at all. I answered this guy but I was not astounded. I have heard equally inane arguments before.

Ignorance or poverty of knowledge is bound to exist as long as poverty in material means exists. Eradicate the latter and the former it would in its way out too. (or that is what I believe)

Honestly, I am not surprised by the ignorance that is running rampant in our society today. I encounter it almost on a daily basis. It amazes me, however, that despite their ignorance on various subjects, they still feel compelled to comment on them....

Not really.

I've been watching stupid people for most of my life.

I would be more astounded if reason and common-sense suddenly increased.

Ignorance is believing in fairy tales from a really old book.

That really is pathetic. It doesn't astound me so much as make me sick.

Not so much astounding as it is frightening.
