Hi there.
I am a design consultant for a Benjamin Moore Paint franchise.
I agree about the blue/grey tones. Blues are generally calming and evoke a sense of calm, perfect for areas of rest & relaxation.
Try looking at a medium blue/gray called Beachglass, by Benjamin Moore. You can go to any paint store and they should be able to produce a sample of this color, or their own closest color match to it. You can also view it via your computer at the benjamin moore website. Just remember, a color monitor doesn't reflect the "true" color, and seeing a color-coated paint chip is the only way to really determine a color and it's undertones.
Beachglass is not too blue, not too green, and not too gray, and most importantly, it doesn't turn baby-blue. Too many blues, once you get them home, are percieved as "too blue". Leaning towards a grayer shade helps knock out the baby-boy look in a blue.
This type of color looks really great with the latest trend towards very dark trim, like a black, or a chocolate brown, or even some shades of navy. A hot red for an "accent" color works well, too.
Good luck!

For a teenaged boy, I'd say something bold like maybe a silver or steel-grey and a dark blue accent wall, or two tones of your favorite color - say, a deep brick red on the bottom half of the room and a light rust up top if you like red. If you're a sports fan, you might consider the colors of your favorite team - Florida Gators (just an example) are blue and orange, so you could have blue walls with accents of orange on the curtains or orange shelves.
Have fun with it - remember, if you don't like it, paint is one of the cheapest ways to totally remake a room.

For instance, a bedroom that faces east and receives strong sunlight in the early morning will look very different when next seen late at night in artificial lighting. A west-facing room that has a warm glow in the evening can look dull in the mornings. Your choice of colors should take this into account. These choices are all personal, and only you can make them.

How about a navy wall at the head of the bed and three soft Grey walls? These should be easy to find curtains and a comforter/ sheet set to go with. You could use red throw pillows.
You did not mention what the floor is. If it is carpet like beige, you could change the color scheme to one chocolate wall and 3 creme or beige walls. With rusty red throw pillows.
Good luck on the new color scheme.

It depends on what ur like
if u like dark blue u could mix it with a dark vinilla
what I think is cool (although I'm not a boy)is a black or dark dark blue room then put those glow stars all over the room and if u have a fan put them on there 2
if u can get a black light
it looks really cool

I did my stepdaughters room with lavender partitions and white furnishings. yet I replaced it up on one wall and painted a plaid making use of blue, eco-friendly, yellow and crimson different length stripes and features. She loves it! Then with the bedding I went to the clearance area at linens and issues and purchased mixture and journey sheets and pillowcases in those colours, even got here across some cool acrylic knobs in those colours to alter out the drab white ones on her dresser.

Whatever color you chose just remember that the darker the shade the smaller the room will look. That's why new homes are always painted that neutral beige color.

Mine is red!! uh la la!! If that is too drastic for you, I would choose a neutral color like any one of the beige colors. I would stay far away from blue you will get sick of looking at it... trust me!! Or if you like gray some rooms look good that color.
