I am trying to find a place for our honeymoon next April. We are looking for a beach that would be affordable (total cost $500 per person). Any ideas? Websites to check out would be great. Thanks!

How many nights? And where?
Most beaches have mom & pop places that are cheaper than the mainstream hotels. The more developed the area is, the more options you will have. Myrtle Beach, for instance, will have more options than Edisto Island. All the major beaches have a chamber of commerce or a tourism department with a web presence. Google "tourism" and the area you want to visit and you should find something.

You might want to consider a cruise. By shopping carefully, I'm sure you can find at least a 5 night, maybe a 7 night for under $500pp, and all your meals and entertainment would be included. The cruiselines all have nice private islands , and also make several tropical island stops where you could go to the beach.

Good luck on your wedding and honeymoon planning.

My cousin just recently returned from Pensacola Beach in Florida. He said the water was exquisite. I've been myself and found that if there are no major weather patterns, the water is some of the best you'll find in the Gulf. If you choose to go on the ocean side, pray that you have a long lull of calm weather. Mexico is always an option.

Coronado or Silver Strand State sea coast are your maximum suitable selections. From previous city take I-5 south from previous city highway. Take the Coronado Bridge to Coronado(it is south of downtown. turn left on Orange Ave. turn precise on Isabella(it is at 10th highway in Coronado) it is going to bypass directly to Coronado sea coast. For Silver Strand proceed on Orange previous the lodge Del Coronado approximately 4 miles south you will circulate out at Coronado Cays Blvd for the State sea coast.
