Not all that familiar with tantric sex, but I think the Kama Sutra, and Song of Solomon are beautiful poetic expressions of love between a man and woman, and it's rightful place in the world as a spiritual joining of the two energies together...

The West has latched onto tantric sex as a novel way of approaching sexuality. But the so-called benefits of tantric sex only happen for those who no longer have sexual desire or attachment to sexual activity. Sort of a catch-22 ... if you want to engage in it, you are not ready to use it properly and benefit from it. Anyone else who engages in tantric sex is actually slowing down their spiritual development. But Westerners have a way of taking teachings and ignoring whatever doesn't suit their purposes. Let me know if you find an eastern-trained monk or nun who teaches tantric sex. The Tibetans teach tantric Buddhism, but none of it has anything to do with sex.

Sex is natural and wonderful. I think its been demoted with the casualness of it in our modern world, but yes sex with someone can be very spiritual. Its the most intimate act you can do and it gets you as physically close to a person and you possibly get. Song of Solomon is amazingly beautiful. It breaks my heart that it was cut out of so many bibles/

Sex is good as a bond between people. All these things are great to read and to implement too. Sex is not for sport though, it is serious.

I believe that "spiritual" is merely physical things that science does not yet understand, so sex is just more of same.
