Is it possible to skip from 9th to 12th grade, if someone's from another country? Count the facts that the schools in that country study significantly more than the American schools do...

One grade perhaps, but three, I don't think so. In order to do that, one would almost have to be a genius. The individual in question should present his academic records for evaluation by the school in question so they can make a determination. I'm sure they will consider more than just grades and test scores however. They will want to evaluate how psychologically mature the individual is as well. Such a person must be able to relate to others who are several years older than themselves.

From what I have heard, usually that does not happen. Usually, as they did when I was in high school, they would place the student in either an equivalent grade or one grade ahead. A german exchange student friend of mine was in 12th grand in Germany, but 11th here in Texas. When she went back to Germany she was in their 13th grade (they have an extra year of high school.) I think it depends on the school and school district though.
