We can't say we were not warned, can we? We have a vicious enemy, raging up and down like a lion, looking for gullible souls to devour.
Can Satan use scripture against us? You betcha!!
Satan is not only the most accomplished Bible scholar of all time, he is also has extensive experience in human psychology.
A deadly combination....

Satan knows Scripture better than the majority of persons who say they are Christian. He does one of two things or both. He will misquote it
VERY
Subtly or through sly trickery. He will quote scripture in such a way as to deceive.
Ye shall not surely die:
Satan did 2 things here. He did not correct her when she said that they could not touch the fruit. All God said was not to eat of the tree. He said nothing of touching it. Satan, through the snake, said that they would become as gods knowing good and evil. The implication was that God was trying to keep something from them that they had the right to have and to have power or life within their own selves, when this is impossible.

It is true that satan can quote Scripture. Mat 4:6 He (Satan) said to Jesus, "If you are the Son of God, jump! Scripture says, 'He will put his angels in charge of you. They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.'" (See Source)
After all, Lucifer is a fallen angel. He spent untold mellinia with the Word. Joh 1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 He was already with God in the beginning.
Joh 1:14 The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth.

Well, sure! What did he do with Jesus during the temptation.Satan always twists it just out of focus,so to fool even the most devoted( but unstudied) believers.St.Paul knew what was coming. He also said in Galatians,"If we,or an Angel from heaven come preaching any other doctrine than what you have learned here, let him be accursed(damned by God)".
Who do you think that was when "The angel Gabriel" appeared to Muhammad and said write what I tell you?Who do you think it was when "The angel Moroni" appeared to Joseph Smith? I don't want to offend and I might but I would think twice before believing these visions from Lourdes etc.Test it against scripture. All one needs to know is between those pages.
He always takes the skin of the truth and stuffs it with a lie.

Just how successful does the Bible say Satan has been in quoting scripture?
Re 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels
were cast out with him.
Says here that Satan has decieved the whole world.

Who told you I can do that? lol Sorry, couldn't resist the joke.
Well, Satan or Lucifer as is his original name......was God's Favorite.
Lucifer, being a fallen angel (but an angel at one point), would be familiar with God's word. Would he not?
Before Lucifer fell, he WAS the Angel of Light.
From Lucifer's perspective.....what better weapon to use against your enemy than his/her/it own words. Your enemy practically defeats themselves then.

This is why it is important that we know what the Bible says and what it means. Many people say " The Bible says this" and " It is said in the Bible that.." It is important that we know our God's message so that no one can confuse us.
The Word of God is the same for everyone. We need to study what God wants to communicate with us so that we are not deceived.

I will go further with the thought; He did it when tempting Christ in the wilderness, according to scripture.
