It might sting a little bit but you shouldn't feel any real pain. You will feel some pressure and tugging. I've had staples removed before (from my abdomen) and I hardly felt it.

Not if they are "ready" to come out..should not hurt a bit...however, if they aren't ready...it will hurt a little as the Dr pulls at them...They do have a little staple remover-thingy that they use to remove them...it kind of "crimps" the staple out...
I just had 16 removed from my knee after knee replacement...5 came out really easy...the rest had to stay in as they were not ready yet...(came out 5 days later)...
You can tell when the staples are "ready"...they'll also start to itch a little...

Actually some of them coming out feel like plucking a hair. Had staples up the side of my leg from the ankle to the knee.
Only the one's closest to the ankle and the metal plate installed in my leg I felt. The staples I had across my throat I did not feel at all. Depends on the doctor if they give you anesthesia or not...neither of mine used it.

Nope. They have a special staple remover. You won't feel it at all. It's really cool. Don't be afraid when you see it. I had staples removed from my stomach and when the doctor just slid it right through the staples---they were GONE. Never felt it.

Not at all. They use a device made to uncrimp the staples and then they come straight out. It truly is no big deal. Good luck on the rest of your healing!

No, it's a piece of cake. I had 9 taken out of my scalp once and if I hadn't have heard the doctor removing them, I would not have even known it was being done. Relax, you're home free :-)
