All I ask is that answers be respectful of others and civil.
The following are parts of five answers to one of my questions ("Christians": Aren't you Holier than me if God will let you into Heaven while tossing me into the Lake of Fire).
"I am a sinner and deserve to be cast into hell ... His holy blood covers my sin, and when God looks at me, all He sees is the blood of Christ covering my unholiness."
"I am incapable of being holy at all ... I have lied, cheated, stolen, and broken just about every commandment ... he would have every justification to send me straight to Hell. However, when Jesus died, it's like his blood covered my sins so that God doesn't even see them anymore ... I am still not holy, but I am acceptable to God because Jesus has made me clean again."

"He was tortured and He was Crucified and was left hanging there in order for him to bleed to death. The only thing that he wants for us to do is to Know Him and love him, is that such a difficult thing to consider?"
"I am a sinner who deserves Hell ... He spilled his precious blood on the cross that sinners like you and I may have eternal life if only we will resign from the 'debating society' and cry out, 'Lord, Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.' "
"I am not holier than anybody else- GOD IS THE ONLY HOLY ONE. It takes humility to really realize that we are not good enough for heaven. When I accepted Christ as my Savior, I had to admit that I was a sinner in need of a savior. I am not holy enough to deserve heaven, or anything else from Him, that is why He died on the cross to allow me into heaven and to have a relationship with Him, here and now and for eternity."

I think it's the classic tell-tale signs of brainwashing. In order to get individuals to submit to a cult's desires, the person submitting has to be made to think of themselves as not worthy and 'less than' the 'righteous.' This is evident in cults all over the world, from Heaven's Gate to Waco. It was also used to get slaves to submit to the wills of their 'masters' not only here in America, but in all places where religion or 'civilization' was used to justify slavery.
If a person is made to think they are not worthy of something to be desired, they will seek to be redeemed and made worthy, and will do what it takes to achieve this. These people have all shown that they bought into the cult's idea of unworthiness, despite the fact that they have no proof of this being even existing, let alone requiring the imaginary blood of an innocent to make one worthy.

I guess Ur just not getting it. None of us deserve to reside with God in Heaven for eternity for ALL have Sinned & come short of the glory of God is how Scripture puts it. BUT (BIG BUT) we ALL have a CHOICE to Accept Christ the same way as U have the CHOICE to go see a Specific Movie! Bad people go to the movies all the time, they just buy a ticket!!! Many people think that by simply going to some church, they have "Bought" their "Ticket" to Heaven. NOT!!! ONLY a personal acceptance of Christ gets u to Heaven!!! John

I guess I don't see the disrespect. It's a little gruesome to think about what they are saying....but it doesn't look like anyone is disrespecting you...
I believe these answerers are trying to say that they are/or are trying to be, humble and believe that JC's sacrifice will save them and anyone who believes.
Personally I don't think anyone will go into an actual "lake of fire" or anything like that. Revelations does say that the lake of fire is "the second death" and the bible relates death to sleeping. I also don't think I'm any "holier" - in that I have no right to judge what's in anyone's heart - that's up to God.

Who's in Heaven
My mouth agape wide open,
As I entered Heaven's door.
Not by the beauty of it all,
by the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven,
who made me sputter and gasp.
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade,
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor,
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought,
Was rotting away in hell.
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
And why's everyone so quiet, so somber?
Give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He "They're all in shock.
No one thought they'd see you."

We(Christians) are walking in sanctification daily being made holy and righteous. We are not saved by sanctification of even our own righteousness, but rather by God's,Justification,by grace.
We have no "boast" of holiness and neither should we being airing this type of Holier than thou additude.. He,is all in all...and is our reedemer.

God is holy , if you place anything next to pure holiness it will be less holy. There is no man in carnal nature that is holy.
If God's spirit dwells in us then that spirit in us is holy. The fleshly body will never be and can never be holy.

The answers you were given were very well put, and the same sacrifice that covered their sins is available to you and me as well.

all beings, all things on earth, are holy. the challenge lies in finding recognition of ones own holiness, and respecting it and the holiness of all other things.
in other words, respecting ourselves and others, and our surroundings as holy just because they were created that way, not because some human here on earth declares them to be so if they follow one or another set of rules & dogma.

As an atheist, I must respectfully decline to comment. You've obviously made up your mind and any reality-based observations I can offer will only offend you.
