The" Comforter "is the Holy Spirit.Jesus was ,as the "God Man" confined to one place at a time when he was on Earth. Now that He is resurrected ,He through the Holy Spirit can be with each and every one of us believers. To comfort and to bring truth to rememberance.(Just as he did right now).
The Comforter is not Mohammed neither is it Joseph Smith or any other cultic entity.

You think is Mohammed?
Get these amazing quotes:
1) The Hadith, Bukhari, Vol 2, No. 167 "The sun eclipsed and the prophet jumped up terrified that it might be the Hour (of Judgement)"
If he was a real prophet, he will have been happy that the day came.
2) Sura 17:90-94 of the Qur'an tells about how, when Muhammad was challenged to perform a miracle and prove he was from the true god, he could not perform any and here he actually says himself: "Am I anything but a man,- a messenger? ".
Mohammed is a different kind of false prophet. Most false prophets can lead to hell by making miracles. But he could not. What a shame.
3) Surah's 8:39; 9:5; 9:29: 47:4 in the Muslim Qur'an are 'divine' commandments to persecute Jews and Christians, to defeat them in battle and then to consign them either to slavery or to death.
After this quote, do you think Mohammed could be the 'comforter' of the disciples?
May God make you see through Christ His Son.

This may clear up your obvious confusion;

How God’s Spirit Can Help You

JEHOVAH God is invisible to human eyes and, therefore, his spirit is also invisible. (John 1:18) When on earth, Jesus Christ revealed how that spirit would aid his followers. He said: “The helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things and bring back to your minds all the things I told you.” (John 14:26) What is this spirit and how does it serve as a remembrancer and a teacher?

God’s spirit is, not a person, but an invisible active force. This is evident from the fact that the Hebrew and Greek words rendered “spirit” convey that very thought. At times these terms simply mean “wind,” or, air in motion, as you can see by reading Exodus 10:13; Job 41:16 and Zechariah 2:6.

As to what God’s spirit will recall, our situation is somewhat different from that of the apostles. We have not been directly taught by Jesus Christ. However, all the vital aspects of what Jesus did and said have been recorded in the four Gospels. Moreover, all Bible prophecy, both in the Hebrew Scriptures and in the Christian Greek Scriptures, in some way focuses on Jesus Christ. That is why an angel told the apostle John: “The bearing witness to Jesus is what inspires [literally, “is the spirit of”] prophesying.” (Rev. 19:10, Interlinear) This means that the entire “spirit” (the whole inclination, intent and purpose) of prophesying was to bear witness to Jesus. Accordingly, whenever necessary, God’s spirit will aid us to recall all such teaching regarding Jesus Christ and will enable us to discern its correct application. In fact, since “all Scripture is inspired of God,” what Bible knowledge we have acquired can be brought to remembrance by God’s spirit.—2 Tim. 3:16

The Holy Spirit is in me and He talks all day long or whenever He wants to talk.

The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, and the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit is a branch of Almighty God, just as Jesus Christ is a branch of Almighty God. All Three are One. The Father God, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We call the Godhead, the Trinity.

He doesn't speak of himself, meaning, he doesn't say "I am," he says "Jesus is". He communicates Jesus Christ to the one he is talking to. He keeps us from being influenced by the god of our own reason, who speaks in the first person.
