The only different is XP Pro has more networking options. If your trying to pick between the two, if your doing lots of Networking get Pro..... otherwise Home is fine.
The differents is to small to mention, except for the few hundred dollars differents.

Well, xp home is only for home entertainment. its only for kids and school students. You cant do much work like what the professionals can do. XP pro is the advanced operating system where you can use it as a web server. it also has more security stuff. By the name itself we can know that xp home is ONLY for home and xp pro is for advanced users like IT developers and more.

Most of it has to do with advanced networking. But given the speed and type of internet connections in most homes, you will find that pro works better just because it functions overall better on networks (cable, dsl, etc)...there's more differences but this is the primary difference I know of in regards to what the average home user would care about...

The main difference is that XP Home is not able to connect to a Domain network, such as in an office environment, hence the name "Home". It can connect to a pier to pier network. That is what you find in the home environment. Other then that they are almost identical.

They are the same, xp has two things extra one for business and one you can use your computer from any were.
