There's this guy I have talked to a few times at work. The first time I saw him there was a spark and I think he used to come to my floor just to say hi. He has stopped doing that now and I only see him about once every few weeks in passing. I work in a technical office building where we should stay professional. Should I try to find a way to get to know him better first or just straight ask him out? I can ask him three ways: in person, via email, or through a mutual friend (who isn't very helpful with this situation cause he likes me). I'm pretty shy and don't like making a fool of myself, I'm pretty sure he likes me but don't know why he quit chasing.

Make a point to run into him somehow and say" Boy, I haven't seen you in awhile." He will then get the idea that you enjoyed running into him. He should start coming around again and you can ask him to join you for lunch or a drink after work. I think he got the impression you were not interested so he quit coming around. Good Luck.

Well dont take too long to say something cause if you wait too long some other woman might snatch him up. Start off kinda suttle like send him an email. In the email say "Hi, how are you doing?" Just see where it goes. Eventually it'll build into physical talking and then go on from there

Dont send him an email (so tacky)!!!

I would ask him out in person...And to be on the safe side, try asking what time he goes to lunch and if it's okay for you to join him.

i think that u should just email him or ask him in person because the worst he could say is no and if u have your friend ask him he will probally twist around the words or not do it because he wants u for himself so that is waht i think
