Take this from the PERSONAL Experience of this Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ...

MY First career -- Military Servicemember -- and yes, I DO enjoy that Military Continuation (and Benefits!) at this stage in my life.

I entered the service, went up through the ranks, obtained my advanced Degrees, and yes, had a short disaster of a marriage (to an Abusive, Violent Sociopathic Ex) and raised my toddlers ALONE solely on my income. Retired from the Military, worked more, was STILL the sole income for the home, plus being a single parent.

NOW ... at this stage of my life -- the Children are Adults (and out!!!!) ... I am enjoying MY Pensions (for sure!) and am able to take care of ME for the first time in a very long time. Went BACK to College once again .. this time for fun, and took Digital Imaging/Photography, Website Design, Golf Lessons, etc -- had LOTs of fun -- and STILL have it as far as Advanced Education (yep, still Obtaining that HIGH GPA for sure!).

NOW I am enjoying MY Digital Photography ... have a Portfolio of Artwork (which is very strange at my age .. especially since my Careers are based on my Math/Science knowledge and talents) .. and that is somewhat amusing and fun.

So in the next 20 years -- I see myself enjoying life more and having fun! No more Daily Grind for me .. and I enjoy what I am doing for sure!
