I think an intelligent person will be able to realise not to believe everything they read, and to interpret it for what it is. But at least the bible does not have as many violent undercurrents and prophecies of hate like the koran does. Such evil sentiments are dangerous when placed in the wrong hands.

yes,its true, because a truly intelligent person would know that the bible has been altered by humans, therefore, the reader will not be reading God's words but a writer's words.
Whereas the Koran has never been altered, and is definitely the words of God.
Also, from my personal experience, when one starts reading the Koran,he will find it difficult to put it down due to the beauty of the language flow...=>

Not at all. The Bible contains wisdom and a great deal of interesting literature. The poetry of the psalms and the Songs of Solomon is rather impressive.

I revisit the Bible frequently, and while I may not qualify as a "truly intelligent person," I'm not without some intellectual resources.

A truly intelligent person would be foolish to never pick it up again. Even if they believe it's all a crock, it is still the basis of a huge part of western culture- literature, art and music. And since, like it or not, there are a lot of people who believe it to be the absolute truth, if he wanted to understand those around him, it's the best way.

The most intelligent people who are not motivated more by emotions will observe that the Bible and Koran (or Quran) or other "sacred' books have many errors and is likely to discard them as fantasy.

No, not at all. I am a truly intelligent person who reads the Bible and I pick it up continually for guidance, reassurance, and encouragement from my Creator. What an awesome God he is.

I guess the person with a totally logical kind of intelligence would not be able to grasp it and put it down. But the spiritually intelligent who read it with their heart will feel it is true.

No it is not. Information in Bible is "set up" in different levels of truth. Every time you read it - you discover a new thing. The same is true for the Coran

I know too many intelligent Christians and Muslims to buy this line.

They may interpret a great deal of it metaphorically, but they still believe.
