Anyone else like the egg in a bsaket or as I grew up calling it a Wimpy? It is a peice of bread you tear out a hole in center and break an egg into it and fry it in butter. So yummy for breakfast. You have your egg and toast all in one.

Bono, how is it being wasteful? You fry the peices you tore out and use them to sop up the yolk? Not wasteful. Maybe your just jealous!

Too funny...I just made this last night and I hadn't made them in so long, I couldn't even remember the name of them! But now I know, we did call em eggs in a basket! I made mine with rye bread last night, as it was all I had, and they were delicious!

My sister and I were on a "eggtoast" mission back in the "Arsenio Hall Show" days. Then we just stopped makin em. They were good. We'd make them in the morning with a big glass of Nestea. I can remember like it was yesterday. Think I'll make one or two for my new little brother. (by marriage) Thanks!

Love this! My husband's family calls them 'Egyptian Eggs.' I call them 'Toad in the Hole.'

It's my favorite breakfast!

There are children in Africa who don't have eggs or bread to eat. You're being wasteful.
