Do you know how unreasonable and narrow minded you sound? The only thing certain in this life is death-(a fact you already cannot handle) Everything else could be flawed. The bible was written by men who wanted you to believe. What did you expect to find in it? Why were vast chunks taken out of it if god's word is so important? Explain that? There can only be one explanation-they didn't want people to see certain parts. This is propaganda of the highest order that Joseph Goebbels would have proud of.

"Third of all do not you find it arrogant and narrow minded to think there is no possibility of something beyond our understanding?"

Yes I do, there are many things beyond our understanding. I won't make stories up to explain them however. I will simply say 'I do not know' as I am honest.

"You are wrong! What parts were removed, prove it. Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. That is why we believe it is perfect. It is God breathed and God is perfect. End of story!!! You so arrogantly defend your side, you sound unreasonable and narrow minded, I've given you proof and you still doubt"

There have been parts removed, everyone knows that! Look at your words 'end of story' No it not end of story, the bilbe was writtten by men?TRUE or FALSE? If the answer to this is true then it can be flawed. You have proved nothing. Just because you say 'I have given you proof and you still doubt' Does not mean that you have!!!

How can you so arrogantly say it is...

Do you know how close-minded and Uneducated in the subject you truly are?

Listen, the subject does not even open if this piece of work has chance that it's flawed. And there is a evry good chance it is!!!

The bible you might come across isn't the exact menuscript that was written at the time. It is probably 95~99% same. The bible is inspired by God though written down by men. The intrinsic thought behind the bible certainly is not flawed. What might appear to be "flawed" is due to man's interpretation of the original texts (e.g. good news bible is too paraphrased) and a little bit of human error in copying by hand the texts (this happened in the olden days where we didn't have printers yet).

My faith does not depend on whether you can or cannot find so-called flaws in the bible. The central and guiding thoughts in the bible are flawless. It is very sad that people focus their energies to try to disapprove the existence of God by finding "apparent" contradictions in the bible. Often, they have not read the bible enough to really understand the context. My faith is solidly found on the exercise of my human spirit and the experience of Christ. That is not something you can disapprove.

P.S. Death is NOT certain. There will be some people who will be raptured and shall not taste death. This is talked about in Revelation, for those overcomers at the time of Christ's second coming.

Here's what I do know, the 66 books of that make up the modern Bible were written over a 1500 year period by 40 different men whose occupations ranged from Kings to sheppards. It was written down in 3 different languages Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek. There are more surviving manuscript copies of the Bible from ancient times than there are for any other book (Homer's Iliad is second)

So with all that said what do I believe? I believe that the Bible is the holy and inerrant word of God. Do I believe it has been tampered with by men? Yes, I do but not because of some evil plot but more because of information overload. The biblical cannon was created to establish the basic facts that all Christianity could agree upon. If the cannon had not been established we'd have many more denomination, sects and cults than we do today. With humanity gaining more understand about how God's creation works books like the Apocrypha and the Gnostic gospels can be re-examined.

Here let me give you a little History lesson, since you probably skipped that class in College....

The Bible is probably the most accurate history books ever written.

Don't believe me? Look it up...

Or maybe your right...over 2000 years ago a man wrote a insanely accurate accounts of History, That no only can they prove happened, as well as other lost scriptures of that time, Not even having anything to do with the bible claims these accounts were true as well...

But your right..over 2000 years ago men conspired to brainwash us...

Did the word Conspire even have a meaning then...

Do you get the picture. You are just like EVERYBODY else in this world, who thinks what YOU think is correct and only the RIGHT choice.

Join the club buddy....

This is what I've been asking for years, but no one wants to answer. If the bible is the word of God, are those who removed 2/3 of the bible burning in hell for removing those books? Obviously they didn't believe it was the word of God, as they were telling us it was, or they would have left all the books intact. If I had something that was passed down from God, I wouldn't touch a word of it.

Yes, I've given you proof whether you choose to read it and believe it or not. It was God-breathed, He told them what to write.

Strait is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that finds it ( Matthew 7:14 KJV). It appears you are one of the few Jesus is talking about if you remain in this hopeless frame of mind. I pity you and all these other quacks who are content with being partakers of hell!!!!

First of all mr stinker, I mean thinker (smiling)
It wouldnt be arrogant to make such a statement since we did not write it, if we had wrote it , that might consitiute as arrogance.
Second of all I dont say the bible has no flaws at all, I say God gives me enough understanding to know what it is He desires me to know.
Third of all do not you find it arrogant and narrow minded to think there is no possibility of something beyond our understanding?

Not all books that are written are good, even from a secular point of view. Generally, if Jesus or the Apostles didn't quote from the book, it was not put into the Bible. I can write something that sounds good, but if it isn't all true, it should be rejected.

Dr. Div. Joseph Sittler in an article written about 30 years ago referred to the Bible as "The incomparable testimony of the nature, the work and the will of God." In the article, he stated that in his opinion, language like "infallible" and "inerrant" is not helpful because it does not add anything to the trustworthyness of the Bible. The Bible is incomparable. It is the best source on the planet. The possibility of flaw changes nothing in that it is far beyond any other source. Best is best.
