Mozilla firefox windows keep popping up. Is this a virus problem?

Question

Every time I use Firefox and open up a browser window, around 20 or so new browser windows keep popping up instantly. It makes typing or doing work impossible, because as I type, a whole horde of windows will open and I have to close all of them before getting back to typing what I was typing before. Anyone have any ideas if this is a viral problem and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance.

check block pop up windows . others also.
Also download Adblock plus from (as add on.)

To compare with IE switch to IE with (download add on for Firefox ) IE Tab

However run antivirus and antispware programs {to eliminate any adware/malware program }

Just check if by chance the n button doesnt pop back after being pressed i had this problem sometime ago with an old keyboard.(try a friends keyboard too, just to make sure it aint a prob with urs)
If not,then have a Virus scan done using the latest updates from whichever Anti-virus you have,also do a check for trojans,malware and such with a software such as Ad-aware:

COMPLETELY un-install Firefox, then re-install it.

If it still happens, you may be infected.
