I'm 45 years old, 5'6", have light brown hair, and green eyes, an athletic body, and I don't smoke. I'm financially successful, drive a nice car, travel a lot, own a nice house, and have lots of cool toys. What's more, I'm athletic, sophisticated, classy, funny, reasonably good looking, and I dress and smell nice. And on top of all this, I'm a gourmet chef-quality cook, display very good taste in everything from clothes to art, I can carry on a good conversation, and have a good (but kind of warped) sense of humor. I'm NOT mean, abusive, arrogant, sexist, egotistical, or a hater of kids or animals. At the ripe age of 45, I find myself with a HUGE crush on a 26-year-old woman. So ladies in the mid-twenties age-group, would you consider dating someone in their mid-40s or would the age thing kill it for you despite of everything else offered?

I personally don't think the age is an issue. You are both adults. My parents have almost 20 years difference in age and they have been married almost 30 years. I dated an older man for awhile myself.

The most important question, is how does she respond to you? Is she friendly and interested in talking or spending time with you?

Go for it. Its better than to risk striking out than wonder if she was the one.

MAKE HAY WHEN THE SUN IS STILL SHINING!
Are you married yet, if not then why? You are good looking, you would have a great life!
I believe that love goes in stages, kinda like the stages of a fire. When someone enters their twenties, the wild fire behavior of the teen years often settles down to steady, but still strong, emotional, loving attachments. There is still a great amount of physical love, but emotional stabilty in the loving relationshp becomes more important. The fire burns steady and very strong
For the man in the forties, respectful love takes over. Yes, the the main "true" love is a mutual respect and admiration for each other. The fire has lost some of it'd high flying flames, but noe of the heat.
Every woman has their own set of dreams, small wishes, etc. So don't mind, but I don't think a woman in their twenties would like you, 45 is a wise age when people reach their time to control on their diet, etc. A 26 years lady would still be immature and kind of chhildish from the view of a 45 year old, you wont know now but after marriage you'll realize. A lady of 26 would have strong desire for sex, a romantic husband, etc. I don't think a 45 yearman would satisfy her fire, no matter what type of person he is. My father is 45, and my mother is 26, so I'm saying it from personal experience.
You sound handsome, find someone your age, and enjoy life!

Yeah, I too could type up a great resume on myself, but that wouldn't be very a very attractive trait to blow my own horn, so... It doesn't matter about your age, it matters about the type of person you are. You can have all this great stuff, but does that really make you for who you are? Personalities clash no matter how great you think you are, someone else just might not like you. Even Barbie left Ken in the end.

Honestly?..When I was 26 , I wouldn't have looked at a man older than 32...now that I'm 36, I wouldn't look at a man older than 40;) my fiance is 35 and he's just right for me; a 45 years old man would be too old for me, so imagine for a 26 years old girl;)
