It saves you the potential rejection if she doesn't like you back. Of course you also miss out on the possibility that she does like you. It's not an easy thing to do - I admire anyone who's got the guts to make the first move as I rarely do (I'm a girl if that makes any difference?)

The point of not telling someone that you like her is :-
1. Sometimes, be friend is more suitable for each other.
2. When you tell her your feeling, the girl will feel shy and may not dare to talk to you anymore
3. In times of uncertainties, you may be reject.
4. She already have her boyfriend
5. In a more worst situation, you will not be meet with her anymore as you have frighten her (She has no feeling on you).

There's no point!!! OK you may save yourself a little rejection but rejection is a part of life and you'll get it everywhere, meeting anew girl, applying for college, applying for jobs, applying for credit/mortgages, all sorts of things. You have nothing to loose in telling her how you feel sweetheart, the worst thing that is going to happen is she's not goign to liek you back and at the end of the day you wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't want to be with you now would you.

Fear of rejection. It's the same way a girl doesn't tell a guy she likes him. Especially if you're close friends, you don't want to ruin your friendship. Even if you aren't friends, you want to save yourself the awkwardness. But I think guys should be different and say how they feel. It's understandable for girls cos they're more sensitive.

for some its a kind of safeguard. if you dont open up and tell them, you feel they cant hurt or reject you.
but at the same time, you could be missing out on something special. we have a phrase in basketball...you always miss 100% of the shots you dont take.
hence, youll always miss 100% of the opportunities you dont take. they are there to be taken

To build suspense and to keep yourself a challenge for her. If she knows too early that you like her, then she might think that you are just too easy and lose interest. Besides, she already figured out that you like her if you are talking to her. Why do you have to say it?

There is no point. Girls want to be told! We don't go up to guys and tell them that we like them, that's their job! Besides, what do you have to lose?
