Me & my 7yr. son are going 2 New Jersey in Dec, from about the 14th to around Jan. 4th, 2008. We have never been there before & as it will be cold, we want to stay in a city area that have a lot of large malls 2 browse about in, & large shopping centers. Any serious answers will be greatly appreciated.

Once we have the name of a good area we plan 2 go online & check it out & search for a good room 2 rent there but we would also appreciate any hotels or rooms that are recommended. We dont mind paying up to $100 a day & the room must have a private bath.
Thanks!! Most thorough answer gets "best answer".

How is Newark when it comes to malls & shopping plazas? I also heard of Trenton & Secaucus. What are these areas like?

Paramus or Wayne both have the large malls. And quick access to NYC if you want to visit the big apple.

Brrrrrrrrrr I left the Northern States because of the cold. I know you want a low crime rate area. So I'll suggest 2 places.
Cherry Hill, rich area. Not to familure with area have associates that live there.
Alantic City is NO.. just Casinos and children have no where to go, not even a movie theatre.
Pensuken, close to the bridge to get into Philadelphia and I 95 where you can take a trip to Centercity Phila. for the history of our Country. Or go further south on 95 to Washington DC. Pensauken has a lot of small malls and flee markets (just like malls) but cheaper. north on 95 you can go to areas like Washingtons crossing ival War areas.
GOOD LUCK.
Texas would better. Rio Grande Valley and close to Mexico

Either stay around Trenton and take day trips to Philly, or stay in the Bergen County area. Lots of malls, attractions, history, and right across the river from NYC.
