Depends on which jet. The B-2 and B-52 bombers are designed to go around the world to deliver their ordinance.

In order to travel around the world in a day, a jet would have to average at least 1000 mph. It would most likely also have to re-fuel in flight. No commercial jet presently has either of those capabilities.

The fastests jets can travel pretty fast, but none would be able to circle the globe in 24-hours.
