I would not consider suicide in any shape or form! and if there is life after death, then a person throwing this life away by committing suicide, would not be 'The flavour of the month' on the other side, would they? Straight to Purgatory! For ten thousand years! I'm not sitting on my brains, I'm staying here!!! Have a good day.

I think the people who said heck no, I'm having fun, etc are young people and are physically healthy and haven't had time for life to wear them down. When people get older they have a lot of health problems. And they accumulate painful experiences and sometimes become very unhappy. So that coupled with a lot of physical pain can make people want a rest from all that. Or just escape. But there is life after death and if someone wants to leave before their body falls apart completely and they are in misery 24 hours a day, then that is their business and people who tell them they have no right are retarded.

Most religions hold that those who suicide don't get the life after death bit, so I'm not sure that distinction is important. I don't see the point of suicide. If you want to die - well, you will anyway. Eventually. So why not see what happens in the meantime? Suicide is like insisting on paying for something you were going to get free.

I don't believe in life after death.I also do not consider suicide, but it has no bearing on the life AFTER death. I base it on the life BEFORE death that I live, and the responsibilities I have and the people I would hurt. What I don't understand is why people don't commit suicide who believe this world and everything in it has no purpose but to tempt you to hell and pearly gates and streets of gold waiting. Why do they stay here?

I have considered suicide in the past. And I am a Christian. At one point I found myself going down a dark and dangerous path, and it was even worse, because I was keeping it secret from everyone around me. It got to the point where I knew in my heart that I could not keep up what I was doing and after screaming out for God, He reached down His hand and pulled me out. He showed me such mercy and such graciousness and such patience and love. Praise God. No, I would never, ever consider suicide, again. And, if there is no life after death? LOL, don't be silly!

your question is good because it is conditional, "if". The fact is that there is life after death. however there are many in the world who dont beleive in the existence of God. these people do not beleive that there is anything after death. I am sure non of them wants to die, leave alone committing suicide. instead they want to make the best out of the limited time they have. that is why many want to do many things within the shortest time possible. my friend, live life to the fullest with lots of hope in Jesus because he is coming indeed.

Probably not. But then, I am very sensitive on the subject of suicide, since My Steve did it on December 16, 2005. It was the worst experience of my life, and I would not wish that on whomever would have to find my body, deal with the police and coroner and Crime Scene Cleaners, Inc., and all the pain of knowing someone you loved wanted so much to quit life that he didn't mind how much it was going to hurt you.
It's not really about what would happen to me afterwords, it's about what would happen to the ones I left behind.

No because if youre still alive and death has not become you. Then what's the point of dying. If there is no life after death then what can we do? Live your life to the fullest because if your not gonna be alive after this one live, make life long and happy!

No. The meaning of life is to live it the way you want, which you only get one shot to do, even if you believe in re-incarnation, you only get one shot. Life after death is just eternal rest.
