I have heard the really grill you. Can someone who has been US a lot under the Visa Waiver Program (that's how i am travelling) please give me some example questions they are asked upon entry to the US? I want to know how long they will grill me for as well, if there is an average?

What is your purpose in going to the US?
Where will you go?
How long will you stay in the US?

They may not ask you anything at all. I'm American and my wife is Swiss and she's had times where she just walked right through, other times where they really grilled her. I think the most common questions are:
'what is the purpose of your visit?'
'how long will you be staying?'
'where are you going to be staying?'
'are you planning on working while you're here?' (trick question if you don't have permission)
Just be honest and they won't harass you.
