Is it a Spiritual gift from god? Is it because we can be trusted by god with psychic power? do you get it on the day you are born? is it developed within you?

interesting..
i have met people in my life that have interesting abilities
it depends how you use your abilites....
i believe that most of the time its a scam, but i do believe that some people do have special abilities
'with great power comes great responsiblity'
yes i did get that from the spider man movie, but its so true!
it may be a gist from God..it may be something you are born with or somethng you develop
perhaps it isnt too wise to get too involved with this sort of stuff....you dont know that you will come across...
we humans know too little about this topic...

And there's the problem. Your quite reasonable question has elicited opinions from the knowledgeable to the ill-informed to the downright brain-washed.
How do you choose?
I could give you reccomendations, (Bluebell, Hieromed... Pangel), but why should you trust me?
Why don't you research the matter for yourself? Take yourself down to your local Spiritualist church and ask questions. Genuine psychics welcome being questioned.
If you get someone telling you they can open all the doors in the universe, give you instant enlightenment, anything like that which sounds stupidly grand - ignore them. Same with people who want to charge you a fortune.
There are charlatans in the psychic world as well as in the business and religious worlds.
Although there are people on this site who are genuine, until you can be sure, check 'em out! (Me included).

Well, I have psychic and water powers (they go hand in hand) in sorcery. There is two types of psychic, sorcery and medium. ( I have both) Medium is when you have sensing and that type of stuff. I started my medium before I was born! When I was in my mommy's tummy, on the day I was born I sensed that I would be born on that day. As I grew up, I got my sorcery. well.. i dont believe in god.. so yea.
I think we are all capable of being psychic.. but we forget once we reach a certain age.. maybe by the age of 3.. since we are taught certain things as we get older. I developed mine at 15 years. i'm now 24 and still have the ability

Some people say only God choses those with gifts and everyone else is from Satan. Poppycock!
Many have more evolved, (mature), spirits, and are born more in touch with their spirit.
The word psychic comes from the word psuche, which means the soul or self. The spirit in EVERYONE! And anyone can develope the ability they are born with, but gets lost due to peoples fearful teachings, and the natural ability of the body to block out too much sensory perception, and protect us from nervous breakdown.

So many sceptics on here...... Everyone has a psychic ability (born with it) or sixth sense, heightened intuition - whatever you want to call it. However it has to be consciously developed. To have mediumstic qualities ie speaking to those souls who have passed over from the earth plane is a gift from God. Not everyone is out to rip people off - I do church services and clairvoyant evenings for my petrol money only, but I do have to live and so I do charge a nominal amount for readings I do at home. I would NEVER con anybody, my aim is to help those who wish to contact their loved ones and prove to them that another world exists so that they do not fear their own earthly 'death'. I work for God and I also give healing - again for free. So all you Medium bashers out there make sure of your facts before you dismiss us as frauds - now I will wait for the usual thumbs down!

and you actually believe in such a thing as "being psychic"?
I can understand the idea of intuition, but I just think it's a result of some processes in our brains (or somewhere) that we're not completely aware of ... but it's definitely inherent in humans ... not given by God Bob Job .. call them however you want!
why do people so desperately want to get rid of responsibility of things they're not completely in control of (yet, but will most definitely be one day), and they give all the credits to supernatural?

Psychic power, difficult to prove in general terms but we all have it and yes it can be developed. Kids are the ones who have a closer link, they see things or people we can't, they pick up on energy that adults dismiss. But if you read the life story of Edgar Cayce it may help.

A person with the ability to see, hear and feel by use of senses other than the natural senses or with psi abilities.
I believe that we all have psychic abilities we just ignore them or are taught that we shouldn't use them. We are all connected to The Divine by our inner energy and when we become in tuned with our Higher Selves then we unlock these psychic abilities.

I think you are born with a certain amount of psychic consciousness (babies do seem to intuit how people feel, and whether they are good people or bad people), but that you can develop it by attention to detail, by contemplation, by having an open and loving heart that wants to help others.
