I'm kind to every one. I pull over when I'm driving to help someone broke down. I've bought or provided a meal to anyone who has ever needed it. I help stranded and/or abandoned animals. One time there were four guys walking down the street and they needed a ride and I gladly did it. I knew I would be okay because I have faith in God. When I was in College I started a free baby sitting thing. I rounded up a bunch of willing and competent people to babysit children for free because the Mom had to work. I'm not a bad person. But, I'm going to hell because I don't honor Jesus? I don't understand and I hope someone can explain this to me.

Liberty, it is not just about being a good person though you sure sound like one, we are talking mystery here the mystery of the fall of Adam and Eve and the effects on all humanity ever since.
The offense must have been so terrible that God had to send His Son into the world to redeem it and the condition is that we accept and believe in Jesus as Savior.
Many people especially young people think God is being unfair and too demanding and don`t yet have the wisdom to know that this is how it is even if you don`t fully grasp the concept.
Something so very awful happened and this is God`s remedy and it is not to punish but to save, it is in acceptance that we come to be at peace with this.

Assuming that you won't be harmed by four guys walking down the street because you have faith in God is actually presumption, which is itself a sin.

You have to do more than perform good works to get into heaven. Yes, they are important, and you should do them, but they alone won't get you there. We are saved primarily by our faith. Our faith in the one true God. Faith in God means the faith that He has saved us from sin and death, by His own sacrifice for us. Faith doesn't mean that no matter what situation we place ourselves in, He will always bail us out or always keep us from harm. In order for us to secure God's true protection, we must do our part here on earth to act prudently and safely.

I guess the ultimate point is this - we cannot get to heaven solely on our own merit or actions. We need help, because we are human, and in God's eyes we are all wanting. As it says in Isaiah, all of our human righteousness and holiness is to God "a filthy garment".

You said you have faith in God, Where is you faith if you do not believe in his son? They are one in the same.
No matter how good you are you are still a sinner as all men are and God gave his only son to pay the price for your sins so because Jesus is the one that paid the price of your sins only he can forgive you of them, The only way to heaven is through the son. If you do not except Jesus, the Bible says if you do not know the son nether can you know the father.

I'm sorry, but no matter how good a life you try to lead, we were all born with original sin since Adam. We are all inclined toward evil rather than good.
What it all comes down to is - Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life - the ONLY way.

Here are some verses for you...

Matthew 10:32-33
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; *neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son,* and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father *which hath sent me.*

John 5:43 *I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not:* if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

I hope I've given you a little bit of food for thought...

note: Most of these are Jesus talking. God = the Father, Jesus = the Son, in case you didn't already know.

Who said you had to honor and glorify Jesus.? Even Jesus himself didn't say that. Those who are saying that you have to otherwise you'll go to hell, have been misled and in fact will have to explain to God Almighty, why it is they are worshipping a creature he created. These misled people will have to explain why is it that they worship and glorify a man who came to fulfill the Jewish Torah only. Jesus did not come to atone for original sin as no creature is born with sin. You just keep your hands clean and believe in God almighty with all your heart, do good only to those who deserve your goodness and believe Christ to be one of God's messengers. Whoever told you that you would go to hell if you did not honor Christ is himself dishonoring the purpose Christ came for. As I said, Jesus did not come for his own glory. As long as you follow the teachings of Christ, don't worry about anything. You see Christ was a Jew and Jews are prohibited from eating pork so Jesus never ate pork. Probably that Christian who told you that you would go to hell himself is a hypocrite and had some pork chops for dinner last night.

no one can be good enough to go to heaven. No matter what you do or how good you try to be you are still a sinner. God doesnt allow sin into heaven.
The only way to get into heaven is through Jesus Christ. He paid the price for our sins so that we can enter into heaven.

Good for you.
But, do you remember that good deeds are not to be done only to receive honor and praise?
They are to be done anonymously. Now the whole world knows.
Should we all give you a pat on the back?

speak to a preach or the father in your church look for books about jesus to get to know him more.
pray to god to show u his ways, and to help u learn his ways.
ur good deeds are great but u know what jesus is the one who learned us to do good deeds to others and to love one another, read the bible the new testment, it will help u a lot.
in the old testment, before jesus came to earth,it was eye to an eye,but when he came he learned us to even love our enemies.
