Ghost and other paranormal activity are demonic aparitions used by Satan to blind the eyes of people from God's truths. For very interesting reading try Occult ABC by Kurt Koch or Pigs in the Parlor by Frank Hammond. They are real eye openers.

I believe that some people do linger, perhaps because they died violently, or because they have unfinished business. Other times, when a person has died peacefully and had nothing left to do, if anyone feels their spirit, it's probably not the person that died. I have two reasons why I believe this:
1. When my grandpa died, my mom and her mom went to the hospital room to say good-bye. My grandpa had just died a few minutes before. Anyway, while they were standing there, my mom said that she FELT my grandpa, and that it seemed like he wanted to say something but couldn't. So she told him, "It's okay, Dad, we know you love us." And immediately the presence was gone. Later, they found out that my grandpa's last words, which only the nurse heard, were "Tell everyone I..." He never got to finish his sentence.
2. My friend Tyler was killed in a car accident almost nine years ago, when we were both eighteen. The last time I spoke to him, I made him promise that when he got back from Wyoming (he went to visit his extended family), he would come visit me in my new apartment. A couple weeks after he died, I was awakened by the sound of someone in the apartment. I tightened my grip on the baseball bat that I always kept beside me while I was sleeping, and opened my eyes just slightly. I couldn't see anyone, but I heard them walking. After they walked the length of my apartment, they stood over me for a few moments, then left. It took awhile, but I went back to sleep. In the morning I thought it was just a dream...until I looked in my ashtray. I always emptied my ashtrays before going to bed, so when I had retired for the night there was just one cigarette butt in there (the one I had smoked right before going to sleep). In the morning, there were two: One was the butt of the cigarette I had smoked the night before. It was a regular Marlboro. The OTHER butt was unmistakably a Marlboro Light, which was the brand that Tyler smoked. I actually did put that ashtray aside, and did not use it again until most of my friends had seen it.
Since that time, I've thought I felt Tyler again and again, but NONE of those experiences gave me the peace that that one did. Instead, they brought me anguish. I don't believe that they were Tyler.
So anyway, sometimes I feel that the "spirits" really are just that. Other times they're not.

I don't believe in Ghosts, but I do believe it is demons from hell forming their slef into making people believe and see them as this. Remeber satan can come as the light also, that's why you hear people saying I seen good ghosts or they won't hurt me. The point is this, once you pass over in this lifetime when you pass away physically. There is no coming back not even as a ghost. It is Satans way to decieve people.

Sorry to disappoint you but ghosts are demons. These demons are very powerful and you'd better be careful in your curiosity. These demons are very persuasive. They are as real as the angels that are sent to protect you. These angels fight continually against the forces of darkness without our knowledge. Don't help the demons by letting them into your life. The angels can do only so much.

The only mention of ghosts in the bible that I recall dealt with the Witch of En-Dor and King Saul, when she called up the ghost of Samuel from Sheol. This in itself was a sin, because the Torah forbad the Hebrews from utilizing the services of a necromancer.
Some believe that it was not Samuel that was called, but a demon spirit. No one really knows. Do ghosts exist? Yeah, it's possible. But you probably won't catch me calling them up. And I'm not going to pray to them either.

There are evil spirits. And so you would have known that there is also Holy Spirit who Jesus said He will send. Thats why it takes prayers to shoo the evil.
But here's my personal experience behind my beliefs. When I was in my school days(now married) I saw my mom's character change completely and she behaved nothing like my mom. We could do anything but live with her and watch. My dad took her to pastors, then psychiatist and finally her character was supressed because of medicines.
God, By His grace has shown me that He is living and I was annointed by Holy Spirit recently. So then I knew that my mom really has been under the attack of evil spirit, cause I remember telling me that it told her various things and torments her. I prayed for her deliverance cause though she is ok with medicines she will not know about God and have the happiness of eternity in heaven if she is not released from that evil one.

Hi Dear,..The christian term is spirits not ghost..There are two types of spirits..There are good spirits and there are bad spirits..When you remained focused on God Almighty by reading your bible and praying to him on a daily basis, you will have power over all evil spirits (only if you have been baptized)..Yes, good and bad spirits are all over the earth..There is power in the name of Jesus !! The only people who have to worry about evil spirits are those who do not give offerings to God Almighty, pray, or read there bibles..You asked a great question..May God Almighty's will be done in your life, in JESUS name..

i'll agree with your mother- it's a deception. if you think that ''ghosts'' exist, you're doubting the Word of God, which is what these ''spirits'' want you to do. people go to one of two places when they die. i have heard of such things as ''territorial spirits'', and i wouldn't call that belief unbiblical, but remember, there's a big difference between a ''spirit'' and a ''ghost.'' you would ''like to think that they are not all evil,'' but Jesus said ''satan masquerades as a being of light.'' (wish i had the book, and the chapter and verse number, but i don't.) i have experienced such things in my own life. it sounds crazy, and i don't tell many people, but it's true. if you want to read about it, check the question i answered titled ''what is it?''

All ghosts aren't evil, but they are working in a realm that we have no access to and demons always but always lie, so dealing with ghosts is tricky.

i as a christian believe according to the bible that satans are exist. but not everything bad, is from satan, no its from our choices. satan effects people who obey him.
there is a principle in the bible says what a man seed will earn.
if i seed evil i will earn evil
if i seed love i will earn love
if i seed hate i will earn hate.
so not everything bad happen to me is from evil, its most of the time from my bad choices. or from other bad choices.
God according to the bible created angles
part of these angles refused God so they fall (satan) and they live on earth, trying to destroy people as they could.
Good angles are the one who still obeying God, and protecting his people,
