Do you know that muslim women are equal in regards to rights in Islam?
The Prophet (PBUH) accepted women's oath of Islam and obedience, just as he accepted that of men. The women's bay`ah was independent of and separate from that of their men folk, and was not done as an act of blind obedience. This is a confirmation of the independence of the Muslim woman's identity, and of their competence to bear the responsibility of giving the oath of allegiance and making the commitment to obey Allah (SWT) and be loyal to Him and His Messenger. All of this happened centuries before the modern world recognized woman's right to freedom of expression and the right to vote independently. This is in addition to other important rights, such as her independent right to own wealth and her freedom from the responsibility to spend on others, even if she is rich, and her equality with men in human worth, education, and general religious and legal duties.

A full discussion of the rights which Islam has given to women, and the respect which it has bestowed upon them, is not possible here.

I am not muslim but have looked into the rights of women and I belive muslim women have it better than any other race of women on earth. Other people should take the time to look into the truth and realise this is the case too. I would love to be able to choose what to do with any money I earnt while my husband has no choice but to support the family. The chance to get to know people without being judged by the way I look because you cant tell what a woman really looks like under a headscarf, Muslim women have so much power and control....power to you all , hold your heads high

I don't understand your question? Are you asking if the Arab world gives a woman freedom? Cause the answer is no at least from the way I see it. They aren't allowed to dress the way they feel. Husband are allowed to punish their wives. Now this might not be true, I don't know so please to call a jihad on me. I'm just stating things the way I understand them to be. Is it true that a husband can beat his wife to near death and be within his rights. That a woman wearing shorts or showing any amount of skin would be stoned to death by a crowd of strangers?
See, that's what I've heard. I learn these things for the media and really don't know if they are true. Truth be told I never really researched it. I just accepted these things on face value.

How come some Islamic countries won't allow women to be doctors (even if from countries where it's allowed)? And maybe Susan B.'s dated, but she disagrees...
“To no form of religion is woman indebted for one impulse of freedom.” -- Susan B Anthony
“Every injustice that has ever been fastened upon women in a Christian country has been "authorized by the Bible" and riveted and perpetuated by the pulpit.” -- Helen H Gardener
“The religious persecution of women has been done under what was claimed to be the command of God.” -- Susan B Anthony

yes webpage master all what u said is absolutely right,
men also has the rigt to prevent their wives from going to work, if she leaves the house she has to take his permission even if she is going to her parents.
he can force her to be dressed the way he likes,he can force her to wear hijab.
in some Arab countries there are special restaurants if u want to dine with ur wife , u can`t just go anywhere cz no one is allowed to see her.
and above all this the man has the right to marry 4 wives, he can divorce his wife whenever he feels like it just by saying a word, and in 3 months he can take her back without her approval.
and few years ago they made a law for women who wants to get divorced and there husbands don`t agree, but it takes along time to be achieved and she has to give him back all the money he spent on her to be divorced.
so u still think they have lots of rights and they are equal to men.

Are you a dancer because if you are I can understand why you would want to be equal to a man. I'm a bail bondsman and I have bailed dancers out of jail and those girls make the money and most of them are single girls raising kids alone, just that they tend to get mixed up with the wrong crowds and end up drinking and fighting with the old man. If your old man is a muslim I can see why he would be a little PO'd with you.

There's different flavors of Islam. You obviously haven't been to Saudi Arabia. Women can't even drive cars.

You want equality? Here's a chance for you. Make the MEN wear full hajibs or burkahs. Good for one, good for all, isn't that fair?
If you can't manage that, then just p*** off and leave us alone !
