for a moment, things very nearly fell apart. There was a temporal shift, and the result was an earthquake, the clouds gathered, and coincidentally, the veil in the temple was torn. So, yeah, I think God temporarily lost it. But it was for a short time. He quickly regained control.

Not a Christian-- atheist. But I'm answering anyhow.

There was no temporary God when Jesus died because Jesus is part of the holy trinity. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all part of God. Plus, when Jesus died, he only died in flesh. His spirit was still there, and I do believe he gets busy with opening the gates of heaven for all the souls who have died before Jesus' sacrifice. And he does that while his body is dead.

So Jesus died, yes, but he still existed in spirit at the time.

Hope this helps. :)

Jesus was god and is god. He died in human form, he was still god, alive spiritually. His father, our father, is god. When they killed him, they didn't become god. Jesus wasn't married although some people (da'vince code thing) belive so. There is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. The son of god, jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins. If we sin once, we are doomed forever to hell. But because jesus, our lord and saviour died, we are saved from that terrible death and instead live in heaven with god. When we belive in god and accept him as our lord and saviour, then the holy spirit lives within us. We are a light in this world and are here to help guide others to god with him working through us... its kinda hard to write it all down so if you wanna know more then just email me i guess....

The Bible says Jesus was God made flesh. God the father was still there. And no, God didn't have a wife, in that sense, but he chose Mary to care for Jesus.

There's this concept called the Trinity, One God in three persons while at the same time Three persons in One God. They are all the same and yet different because it's all one God. mysterious concept it is, but to answer your when jesus died he just died in the flesh, that means his earthly body, not his spirit which i guess would be the holy spirit not really sure on that one, again it all goes back to the trinity

"My God My God why hast Thou forsaken me?"

I rest my case.

Jesus was God in human flesh----but yet able to communicate to His own deity which was not suffering with Him on the cross.

Dont make God human.
and dont make man God.

The genius of the cross is that God could bare our sins without compromising His own deity.

Wow. Why are so many atheists so confused about what they are actually bashing. I am an atheist, but I have studied most religions. This is why you will not see me posing idiotic questions like this one.

It is also why I am not confused about my convictions and do not feel the need to bash others in the first place.

How can it be a question of common sense when it sounds like you don't have any. Before you go around TRYING to sound smart, learn first. It'd help if you did some research on the religon before you go up against it.
