If you are in a deserted island, and were given 2 choices, which would you pick? A or B? Why?

A) Bring as many things that is directly related to faith (i.e. Bible, cross, Qur'an, Tanakh, Magic 8-Ball, prayers, etc.)

or

B) Take a single object that's directly related to science/technology (i.e. boat, airplane, cell phone, H20, etc.)

B) I'd take a technological object that'd help me survive and escape.

Prayer can be a means of introspection and refocusing oneself -- perhaps priming you to better see and use opportunities, or accept things more calmly -- but it doesn't affect the physical world.

B... Survival depends on ones ability to get food, water, shelter and fire..

If I could only bring one item it would be a survival manual specifically related to the enviroment of the island..

B for the others are already in my head .
if you don't believe me then why don't people pray for free gas if you have enough faith and magic Jesus you will have free gasoline forever .... prayer is only a emotionally charged positive thought promulgating good action but it requires material things to be fullfilled.

Definitely go with b. A phone would get me out of there quicker than superstitions will. That is assuming the phone actually can dial out.

I am a Christian and I would of course pick (B). The Reason...

The Holy Spirit Lives in me, I don't need an object to tell me He is real.

And I would take the boat please (I can not walk on water but I love to cruse the oceans & seas).

B - because God is always with me no matter what. I don't have to have Christian symbols or even a Bible to be a Christian.

I'd take B and remember the values from A. I can keep the knowledge from A in my memory.
