No.
Matthew 19:17-78 states:
Now someone approached him and said, "Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?"
He answered him, "Why do you ask me about the good? There is only One who is good. If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments."
For Christians, Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses.
Christians are not held to the ceremonial parts of the Mosaic Law concerning of dietary purity and temple worship.
Christians are held to the moral law of God, some of which is expressed in the Ten Commandments.
However Jesus took the Ten Commandments to the next step summarizing them into the two Great Commandments:
+ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
+ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
And teaching things like
+ Everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
+ Everyone is our neighbor including our enemies.
Therefore we have to go much farther than the original recipients of the Ten Commandments ever dreamed.
With love in Christ.

Catholics can eat anything they desire. There is no restriction except that one doesnt eat any meat on certain days of Lent or on every Friday of the year. I think pork is forbidden for Muslims.

All pig meat is forbidden for Christians, Catholics, Protestants etc..., anyone who falls under the follower of Christ category must not eat pork. The reason is given in Deutoronomy. Jesus was a Jew and did not eat pork so why is it all his followers do? Some guy in the new testament who never knew Jesus anyway , decided to make lawful the unlawful. But in truth it is a forbidden food even for Jesus.

To the guy above- The law of Moses was fulfilled in Christ & is no longer necessary.
The old testament is a good reference for hygene, morality & judgement. It was given to people who were like children & thus was very specific & strict.
Moses was a great Prophet but was in charge of people who needed major guidance to become the Lord's chosen people.
Pork may be bad for you but it is no longer forbidden.

particular, Muslims at the instant are not meant to consume beef. despite if, basically as with a number of Christians, no longer all stick to this limit. it is fairly very corresponding to the fasting of Christians - yet isn't purely on sooner or later and is an component to nutrition plan and purity regulations.
