MAXIMA OR A G35???? WHATs BETTER???

Question

Well about 4 months ago we got an 07 maxima se, My wife crashed it 2 times and the mechanin says that it wont go on car fax for 6 months... So basically i wanna trade in the maxima for a 07 g35 base rwd sedan.. Can u tell me which car is better and why? thanks everyone

I was in cars.com, and they said even thought the g35 has more HP. the maxima is faster 0-60... why?

Here's some info. to help you. Both cars are totally different except for the engine. The Maxima, Altima, Quest and Murano are built off the Nissan front-wheel drive chassis. The G35 is a unique rear-wheel drive chassis and is shared only with the G Coupe, FX and M models at Infiniti. Also, the 350Z is from the Infiniti chassis.

The Maxima is a bigger smoother vehicle while the G is a sport sedan (read this as better handling and a stiffer ride). Also, if your over 200 lbs. the G seats will be very tight on your rear! Basically, if you want a smooth ride to work buy a Maxima and if you want to cut-up the two-lane roads with a bit more status, buy the G. They are both great choices.

I would go for the Maxima. I have driven both the cars. Both the cars drive about the same. However, Maxima just feels like it has a lot more power. Plus the ride quality is much better in the Maxima (G35 is more towards to the sporty side - so it has a bit of rough ride). You will be paying much more for the G35 for the "luxury" tag even though Maxima is as good or even better. Additionally, Maxima has more interior space than the G35 and it will help if you have a family with kids..... In the end it all depends on your specific situation and tastes.

Basically the same car, Nissan is Infinity as Acura is to Honda, same company different names. But I have owned a G35 and my brother drives a 06 Maxima(07 not much different just uglier frontend) but I like the G35 better, to me the car seemed more refined and lighter. Plus an 07 G35 looks nicer and has more H.P

What do you want out of your car? Maximas tend to be comfortable rides without being too sleepy when compared to camrys and accords and the like. They are rather reliable and not overly expensive to fix. handle well in bad weather as well. G35s are sporty and a little more luxurious, however not entirely comfortable in terms of luxury. They like pavement and smooth roads best. Drive one, the transmission (auto) behaves weird and some people are put off by that. Lancer is more basic and dirty, designed to deliver less pamper and more driving excitement. AWD does help a great deal too depending when and how you drive. However with less creature comforts and sportier ride, it can get tiresome on long trips or even become annoying once the wow factor wears off All 3 are good cars, but it depends on what you want the car for.

the g35 is basically a different form of a nissan skyline. the maxima is not faster 0-60. the g35 does have more horses in it. go with the g35.

Maxima is lighter and essentially the same engine as g-35 the 07 has the CVT transmission that is Why it gets better gas milage and can power around in the 1/4 mile.

i go for the g35 .....got to love that power under your foot...also luxury that the g35 has standard all in all infinity is the better half of the company
