i got them pierced about 8 hours ago and they are swollen and i am not able to rotate the stud. how long will this feeling last so i could start rotating the stud and cleaning it properly? it hurts too much for me to TOUCH the stud. is this normal?

where can i get h2Ocean besides ordering it online? is it sold in a store?

by the way, i'm using claire's ear care antiseptic as my cleaner. i'm actually just pouring it onto the back of my earring.

cartlidge takes MUCH longer to heal than other piercings (mine took like a year each). It will be swollen and hard to move the stud for a few days, just keep washing it, but no more than twice a day. And try not to play with the piercing, other than wiggling the stud around a little bit when you wash it. It will be painful for a while, especially when your hair gets caught in it or you sleep on it.

As for the cleaning products, I'm not sure, as I am in Australia and we have different products. Antiseptic soap can help, but you should be able to get any of these sort of things from a chemist or piercing shop.

Hope this helps!

cartilage piercings take a LONG time to heal... up to a year.. and since you bad a bad choice of going to the mall and gettign it don with a gun.. this has now caused you unecessary pain and will caluse a longer healing duration.. not to mention a far greater risk for infection since guns cannot be sterilized. also you can be at risk for cartilage collapse...since you had a blunt object forced through.

do these sea salt soaks.. stop using that crap that claires gave you... mine were dore and burned.. its normal.. i got mine done with needles and its great! they are completely healed.

these will aid in healing.. help fight pending infectoins and will soothe the pain.. make sure u use it hot-warm solution.. this will increase the blood circulatoin to the cartilage..

good luck
