Let me say this. If you do painting as a hobby - then odds are you aren't going to be selling much.
As suggested above, Ebay is a good outlet, but as someone who has sold art on Ebay, you have to do some research. Find out what people are paying big bucks for and what is selling in general. There are alot of artists selling on Ebay who paint full time and are serious about their work.
If you are going to do a website, then you must know that there are thousands of other artists who have websites and you need to figure out how to get people to see you and why they should.
If you are going to try and get representation in a gallery, odds are you will need to be painting more seriously than in your spare time. Are you wanting to try and make a go as an artist? It isn't easy.

forgive me-
honestly E-bay is great.
Also, design a webpage and make sure the pictures seen can not be copied and sell them that way.
As an artist, I attend craft shows or conventions to attach clients to my artform. So study up a bit on marketing and make it happen.
