Having actually done some of the killing, I don't have a problem eating meat. I didn't "enjoy" it, but it had to be done. We always tried to kill the animal quickly and cleanly to reduce any suffering. Much more humane than coyotes that eat the rear haunches of a sheep and leave it alive, don't you think.
Carnivores are omnivores are not evil, it is just the way of live and death. There is NO shame in being what we were created to be.

Oh, but they're just so delicious!
Anyway, it's a way of life. I am not slaughtering any "innocent" animals. I just buy what's provided me from the store :) Look, it's not evil, get over yourself. I don't care what you eat, and you shouldn't care what I eat. It's my business; I see no reason to stop eating meat, and you should respect my choice, whether you like it or not. Dang. Maybe if you provided some good reason to stop eating meat - I mean some goood arguments - then I would be more compelled to listen to you.
p.s. most meat-eaters I know don't "enjoy" the killing or "slaughtering" of anything, just so you know.

You use the word "innocent ". Does that mean that there are "guilty" creatures? Science has shown that even plants react to stimuli and surroundings. I'll bet that you have a printer and that you also have printed pages. Probably also furniture and construction made from wood. I've never heard of a forest requesting to be obliterated for the benefit of a cozy winter fire. BTW...have you checked to make sure that all of your makeup, cleaning supplies, house-hold chemicals, haven't been tested on "animals"?

In the old testament it was a law to refrain from eating meat, especially pork as it was considered unclean, but the new testament shows that God blesses meat, and tells us it is okay to eat since there were no more need for animal sacrifices since the crucifixion of Jesus. However, I feel God gives us a free will on what kind of food (and i did specifically say food) goes into our bodies. I am personally a vegetarian because it is right for me. People need to do what is best for them and their bodies, and God will honor that decision. This is a christian perspective. This is not based on any other religion.

Nothing better than spotted owl soup, with a nice stuffed bald eagle slowly roasted over an open flame, the main course would be blackened deboned unborn lamb strips, oh man now I'm starving!! People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I ENJOY the killing of animals.

I eat meat because it tastes good and is good for me, the same reason that I eat vegetables and fruit.

No, I don't see it as evil. Do you see a Lion eating a Zebra as evil?

your question is full of presumption. majority of us meat eaters do NOT enjoy killing and slaughtering animals. eating is a different story, because meat is meant to be a source of protein for us and it tastes delicious... it's not evil because animals don't have a soul and it's nature to eat them. btw the injections given to you as a child had to be tested on animals first. most shampoos, soaps, etc. had to be tested on animals too. it's not evil, just how it's supposed to be.

Forget to take your medicine today dear? Evil? No. Humans have eaten animals for millions of years. Do you really think Adam and Eve went down to their local Winn Dixie and bought tofu? Come on, get real. And don't forget that medicine.

I don't enjoy the killing but a freshly caught Salmon or rabbit is good food.
A decent sized salmon will provide me several meals and a nice rabbit pie will serve 3-4 people.

It isn't evil it is nature.

I see your point to a degree but did you ever think of it this way...
Plants are living things...
Animals can run....escape....plants can't...they are stuck there in the ground ready to be picked.
Also....if you are a true vegetarian...and eat only the required items... you will probably die within 5 years. There are amino acids (proteins), that are required to survive that can only be obtained through eggs, meat, fish etc...
It is unfortunate but true as I love animals.
All my best to you!
