The restroom is like what 5-star hotel's have. Very nice. I'm peeing in the urinal.
The CEO walks in with someone with whom he seems to be having a business conversation with. The business conversation is tangented by meaningless banter from time to time, but they've spent a long time in front of the sink near my urinal.
I needed to fart. I figured it's a bathroom, I'm allowed to fart. So I did. The thunderous crunch paused their conversation and they looked at me. Seconds later, the aroma filled the room.
Farting in my office is rude. Farting anywhere, the hallway, someone's cube, is understandably rude. But if you can't fart in any of these places, the bathroom is often the fastest choice.
Is what I did wrong? It's the restroom, they shouldn't be conducting business in there. It's not like I went to their offices stood in between them and farted. I feel like these two gentlemen were going to fire me. Who's in the wrong?

Although it's unlikely I'll get canned for passing gass in the restroom, you can tell if someone is glaring at you or otherwise.
It made me feel uncomfortable to fart in a place built to receive it. I don't think I'll get fired, but it made me think. I shouldn't have to find a hiding place in the bathroom just so I can let out some steam either.
I suppose I could've made it silent, but I like how it sounds like a duck.

it is just fine to do that. If you do get fired, You should walk into the "meeting" room (hopefully they have long shag carpet) and take a big greasy **** on the floor. Rub it in with your shoe for good measure. Say, " I'm sorry, I thought I had the rooms reversed, I thought the bathroom was a meeting room and this was the bathroom. Burn a bridge but they will NEVER forget you.

Just "feeling" like they are going to fire you is not enough evidence to make you feel panicked, so don't be. I'm sure they were more shocked than angry. Try farting somewhere privately, or do it somehow so the noise isn't that loud. It's not rude, it's just a bit out of the norm to do it in a public place no matter where.
To answer your last question "who's in the wrong?." Nobody is wrong. The two gentlemen may have their own opinions about farting but firing you because of it is wrong in that case. You are not wrong so don't feel stressed out and paranoid. Just laugh about it.

1. You can think up any kind of bullshit, but that doesn't make it true or mean that God did it. "Thou shalt not covet" should NOT be enforced anyway. That's what keeps the economy going! 2. It's necessary to quarantine people who are sick because there were no cures back then and they didn't want their entire race dying out from a pandemic. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that a debilitating disease is not something you want to spread around. And handwashing? They probably wanted any unsavory flavors off their hands before they ate. Nothing to do with germs. 3. Good question. 4. They didn't. They thought it was flat. The Bible mentions several times the "ends of the earth." Yes, they probably did think it was a circle but that doesn't mean they thought it was a SPHERE. They thought it was a flat circle, most likely.

Bathroom is fair game.... I admire your confidence to let the wind blow.... If you had have tried to silence it, chances are it would have sounded all squeaky and girly. I don't fart in public or around people I don't know. Only my dad and my housemate. I hate the ones that accidently slip out with no pressure needed. Now that's embarrasing. I'm a girl and I fart. I won't suffer a sore belly for anyone. Enjoy your release. Forced or accidental, we all do it.

well office conversation should be held in an office. If you are in a washroom then it is fair game. if you can't fart in a washroom where can you fart?
Anyway, if you are holding in a fart, it is ind of hard to pee at the same time as i think all those muscles work together

I agree with you mate. Farting around people IS rude, but if you can't let one rip in the bloody toilet then where can you??!! Perhaps they felt you did it a little too close to where they were standing and didn't like the smell of the curry you had last night.

I suppose a stall would have been more private. Although they still would have heard and possibly smelled it, they would not be looking at the person responsible.
I would not concern myself about being fired. Do you think they would really write on a pink slip that you were dismissed for flatulence?

I don't think anyone is wrong. It's normal to be a little surprised at such a thing. Next time, you might want to try to hold off until they're gone to spare yourself the question, but there's no harm with what you did.

You were in the bathroom...
Not sure what they expected?
What if someone had pooped and the aroma of the poop filled the bathroom? Same situation...I think had you been in an actual stall they would have reacted differently...but you were in the bathroom so I am not sure what they expected!
When in rome....right?!
