where do you stand when a mother of a 15yr old girl, promotes the daughters relationship?

with a 19yr old male to the point of allowing the 19yr old male to move in with the family.

what parent would allow such a thing.
Is there a hidden agenda? Hoping the girl
will get pregnant and will collect child

I would tell the 19 year old to Run and not look
back...being 19 if she is pregnant she can hold that
over him and he would never be able to see the child and/or
end up in jail.

The laws are clear and obviously the parents aren't thinking
in the child's best interest.
I've seen children this age all set to get married and the parents turn around and press charges because the daughter cried because the boy had to work and didn't have time to spoil her. 15 is way to young to be thinking clearly about a serious relationship.

Well this depends on which state this is happening in. In some states the legal age for sex can be as low as 14. Is there more going on here than you say, such as is the girl pregnant? If she is , maybe the parents are pushing them together to get married etc.! Or maybe the parents believe that these two are really in love, and know that nothing they could do would stop them from being together. So they have accepted the situation. Maybe times are tough for these people and the boy works and can pay towards the household bills. How ever if they live in a state where the legal age for sex is16 or older they all could be in big trouble with the law, especially the boy, this could ruin his life!

I know that kids will do things behind their parents back and maybe that mom feels she has some say in the matter. But when my daughter gets that age, until she moves out, there will definitely be no sleep overs of any kind because anybody under the age of 18 is a minor and is considered rape in the laws eyes. Whether the kids consent or not! I would not accept it and feel that it is morally wrong.

The 19yo is supplying the mother with drugs isn't he. Is he surprisingly suave and suspicious, perhaps the mother wants him for herself. There is definately something wrong there...how long has the 19 year old been know by the family? That is a more sensible question. If he is a friend of the family from birth, and has fallen on hard times, then I can see him as a person that can benefit from being NICE to a child in the presense of her parents, but other than that...IT is pretty darn creepy.

This is NOT a healthy situation to encourage or even allow a 15 year old girl to be in.
...it is actually a form of child abuse/neglect and allowing the child to be sexually exploited.

Nowhere in the United States is this acceptable in the eyes of the law and Child Protective Services ( 15 is NOT the age of consent, the state can and will press statutory rape charges agaist the 19 year old male and other charges will be pressed against the mother for encouraging it to happen )

If I were you, I would step in before this child is taken advantage of anymore and get her the help she needs, mentally and emotionally..
What a sad situation when a mother fails to protect the health, safety, and stability of her own child.. The mother needs some kind of mental help and guidance in raising children..
