I have the opportunity of learning them all. Just, don't know which order to follow. None of them will be used for work, just for social purposes. I live in a dutch-speaking region, my gf is rwandese, (both her and family speak french, though) - french is the most common language in bxl, though.

French! Only because I've already started. But to me it seems more practical in your case? Although, I've never considered the other 2. They are interesting choices.

Dutch is my mother tongue and I already speak some French so for me Kinyarwanda is the only one left...
But this isn't about me anyway. If you live in a predominantly Dutch speaking area I'd learn Dutch if I were you, be warned though it's a terrible language so if you don't plan on staying in this Batavophone territory I'd just learn French, especially considering the fact that she and her family speaks it.

edit: and by the way, Afrikaans is the most spoken language in South Africa, so it's not "after English".

I would go for French. From there Italian and Spanish are easier to understand as well. Dutch is hardly spoken anywhere, and only in the country of South Africa do they speak a dutch type dialect, which is of no use anywhere else.

Then, as you progress in French, learn a bit of your girlfriend's language, just the sweet and tender words, the words of seduction and love and some words to greet her parents and have enough knowledge of the language to compliment them on their daughter, their food, their house, etc.....

The most useful one overall would be french, and that would be good enough to communicate with her family too. I'd probably go 1. french 2. dutch 3.kinyarwanda if I were you, although if it were me I'd choose kinyarwanda since I've already studied french and dutch.

If you have the opportunity to learn Kinyarwanda, then I suggest you learn that! I think more people should learn less commonly taught languages. It prevents them from becoming dead languages. Also, with a Rwandan girlfriend, it will still be useful to you!

I would learn Dutch. If you know Dutch you can speak Afrikaans as well, a South African language that is very popular (after English).
