To me, Britax is like the top of the line. We have the Britax Boulevard for our daughter (she is 3.5) and we love it. Britax seats always rate really well so if price is not an issue, I say definitely go with a Britax and nothing else! The best part about the Britax is that it will hold her up to 65 pounds in a 5-point harness and it has the added side-impact protection... I feel good putting her in it. And there is the Britax Regent that goes up to 80 pounds with a 5-point harness! That is awesome... so we might switch her when she gets bigger, I don't know.
Keeping kids in a 5-point harness is one of the most important things you can do for your child's safety while in a vehicle. I *never* want to use just a booster with the vehicles lap/shoulder belts... that scares me, have you seen the videos? There is one on YouTube you should watch, I'll include the link.... It will make you cry... :*( And then it will make you want to keep your child in a 5-point harness carseat FOREVER if you only could....
Anyway, the Boulevard we have sells for $300 at most stores, we bought it for $275 on Ebay brand new and free shipping! :)

I personally have the Britax Companion and I love it. I wanted a car seat that I could easily transport my son in. But if you don't mind having to take your baby out of the car seat whenever you get out of your car, then I'd go with the Britax Boulevard. Britax products are so safe and snug with extra padding for comfort. I'm glad I spent the extra money to go with Britax.

Britax always gets the highest safety reviews. The company that makes them is British and over there the safety standards are a lot higher than they are in the United States so they're built to better than the acceptable standards for the US.

the best carseat varies on the childs size and your vehicle.vehicles dont all have the same shape or another word is design.infant carseats can ride different than other ones.you want a car seat to fit the design of your seat.you dont want it to lean one and then another.you dont want it to sit at an odd angle at the curve of the seat.bottom and the back of the vehicles seats is what im refering to.you may have to buy one see how it fits and then maybe exchange it.you cant always pick for cutest or features.you want it to fit right.most if on the store self are safe otherwise they will recall them.the local sheriffs depart or highway patrol.will check the fit for free if you buy one and not quit sure if it fits safely.it might take trying several.good luck hope you find a safe one without trying too many.you really should have the highway patrol help you decide when you find one.they helped me.

I can't say about the first two, but I have the Eddie Bauer and personally I haven't had any problems with it. My daughter seems to like it and it seems very sturdy and safe. I'd recommend it, but again, I don't know how it compares to any others out there.

check with your local ambulance service or fire department for the best carseat. this is not a choice to make because of cost or looks.
