The only way to get rid of the split ends is to cut them off. the hair will split the entire way up your head unless it breaks off or is cut off. if you haven't had a hair cut in 6 months you are way over due. to maintain the health of your hair regular haircuts are a must. (every month to two months are best) the longer you wait the worse the condition of the hair. also, when you got the perm it could have been left on too long. it might have been too harsh of a perm for your hair. there are different perms for every hair type and if the one used wasn't for you that could be the problem. to fix the situation- try shampoo and conditioner that are designed to help with dry hair. look for Paul Mitchell's instant moisture products or the super strong products, you can get them at any professional salon. you can also try matrix products. their biolage line has some great product for dry, frizzy hair(from shampoo and conditioner to treatment masks). ask your salon professional for help. she/he will be able to help you find a product that is right for your hair dilemma. just remember nothing works instantly, it could take awhile so don't be discouraged. in the mean time check out www.paulmitchell.com and www.matrix.com you can view the products and get a description of what they do to get an idea before you head to the salon to make a purchase. good luck!

Joico K-Pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for dry, frizzy hair.

There's no way to "cure" existing split ends; they need to be trimmed off.

The best way to avoid more split ends is to use a wide tooth comb after shampooing, starting at the ends & working upwards to de-tangle. Allow your hair to air dry as often as possible or use a super absorbent microfiber hair towel to minimize drying time. (ex. Aquis, The Body Shop) Use a leave-in conditioner. Avoid styling products w/ high alcohol content.

Keihl's Silk Groom or a drop of jojoba oil will help tame frizzies.

you may no longer do away with split ends, sorry. there are products that help split ends by using variety of 'gluing them' jointly (no longer actually) and the top result's purely non everlasting. hair is lifeless, so it can't be repaired, even regardless of the undeniable fact that shampoo company's will constantly declare that their products can 'magically restoration hair', in case you have chose to restoration split ends i advise getting a hair decrease, and taking stable care of your hair i.e. utilising a warmth retaining product earlier straightening, and having a physically powerful weight loss plan with a lot of protein
