Example: a girl said that she wanted have sex with a person on she met on the internet but after meeting and getting to know the person she's unconfortable with the idea of having sex with this person. That's just one example. You would think a person would want to do something as private and personal as having sex with someone they know and not a complete stranger.

Yes, sex is a personal thing. But it is different for everyone. You can tell what a person thinks about themselves by looking at who they sleep with. If you believe in yourself, feel comfortable in your own skin, then you will choose wisely and well. If, on the other hand, you don't really like yourself you will choose those who give you the validation you are unable to give yourself. Such choices may not be the wisest in the world...since they are made for purposes of validation, not love or romance or any other true feeling.

Sometimes people go by what they read instead of what they see and visa versa and once they get to know what they have met, it may not be what they exspected. The internet is a tricky way to meet the unknowns. You might get a good lookin woman or man, then they might turn out to be crazy. Watch your step and use your intuition, your inner feelings, if you are not sure, then split the scene. and if I felt weird at all or apprehensive, I would run like hell...

Many people have been asking that very question for nearly 50 years now. I woulld think knowing someone would be more appealing to have sex with versus a complete stranger you know nothing about.

you see there is nothing personal about having sex. making love on the other hand is private, personal, and beautiful. And just because you meet someone, does not mean that you know them.

It sounds to me that this female may have intimacy problems or she doesn't want all the baggage.
