I badly need to lose weight so I started walking 3hrs a day. For a month now, my right heel has been hurting every time I walk on it, so I can't walk more than 30 minutes now. Has anyone had this happen to them? It hurts most in the morning when I wake up

what you most likely have is called Plantar Fascitis - this is an inflammation caused by a build-up of calcium in the bottom of your foot, yours could be located in the fat pad at the bottom-back of your heel. There are stretching exercises you can do to help this condition - but it usually just disappears on it's own, could be 6-8 weeks. However I had it in both feet and on the left foot it just disappeared, but the right took over a year. It is very painful, just like stepping on crushed glass first thing in the morning, so you have my sympathy, but look it up on the web, do the stretches and hang in there, Good luck.

Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the fibrous tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. I had this and it hurt the most in the morning. I went to the doctor and they gave me exercises to do and special inserts that I had to wear in my shoes and after months of using the inserts and doing the exercises it finally got better. So I suggest that you see your doctor.

The same thing happens with me! In the morning, i have to stretch my feet to keep from walking like nails are under them. I was told it could be bone spores or something like that. I have to go to a podiatrist because it's getting pretty bad. It's already starting on my other foot as well. Please let me know what you find out and I'll do the same.

Have you been to the doctor yet and have your heel checked for bone spurs?
