Well, you didn't say what was stressing you out, but a general rule of thumb is to do something relaxing. If you enjoy reading, find a quiet place with a good book and munchies or a drink and tune the rest of the world out for a while. If you enjoy nature walks, take a stroll. A hot bubble bath, aroma-therapy, a talk with a friend....all are good ways to destress. Good luck.

Drink Green Tea, eat strawberries, berries, blueberries, cranberries, bananas.
Eat a variety of fruit everyday to get the anti-oxidants you need, and exercise 1 hour a day... even if you're busy... just find the time to do it.
Also taking afternoon cat naps for 20 min. really helps reduce stress and improve memory concentration.
That's all I can think of for now, there are a lot more than this, but just hang in there and don't stress no more... Life is to short to be stressed out all the time.

Probably some kind of physical activity would help. It could be anything--jogging or digging a hole in the yard, gardening, yoga, taking up tennis or badminton or basketball--anything to get you concentrating on a physical process instead of whatever you are stressing on now. Of all of these possibilities, I think I would go for swimming.

If you want to do it without the help of medication, this is the best relaxation technique: Starting at the top of your body while lying down, clench your jaw, then relax it. Do the same with your arms, hands, stomach, butt, thighs, and legs. You can do this any time, any where. And of course, there are many good meds out there that work. Klonopin is excellent. And xanax or valium work too. You have to talk openly with your doctor , so she can prescribe the med that's best for you. Good luck!

Get into meditation. It may take a while but it will work if you really try to make it. The good thing is it doesn't require a lot of free time, just a few minutes before you go to bed each day.

Sometime you have to say f*** it and let it go. Do the best you can. If your in college you could drop something to light your load and focus on the other stuff or set a comfortable amount of time to study in short bursts and then take a break from it. Study like this could be a good distraction from the other stuff.

BREATHE!! trust me, this is the bodies natural way to release stress. next time you're in a situation that stresses you, just stop for a second and remind yourself to breath, it'll help, and it never hurts to just try it! hey if i'm wrong... go to expensive yoga classes (they're going to teach you how to breathe), doctors, drugs, etc. you have the ablitiy to fix yourself!

When you stress, do some meditation and think about there are somebody less happy than you and you feel that at least you are happy than them. (i don't try to disgrace unhappy people).
Take care.
