Go outside (behind the house) tell him to pull down his pants and pee. His manly instincts will kick in. Then after a couple time re-introduce him to the potty.

Potty trips with dad, Grandpa, or even friends I know that's weird, but the first daycare my son was in, the bathroom was set up as one room with four little potties. He learned to pee standing up because the other boys did it. You can explain it, but as a mom, you are not, and never will be, equipped to demonstrate.
Also, apple jacks, fruit loops or cheerios. Toss a few in the toilet and let him enjoy some target practice.

I would let him stand on a footstool and drop a cherrio or two in the toilet and tell him to hit the targets! And keep some Lysol wipes close by!

Each time he goes in to pee place 3-4 cheery-o’s in the toilet and
tell him to take aim and try to sink them.

Ooh, don't! They can pee just as well sitting down, and it saves you from having little pee droplets from backsplash or bad aim all over your floor, wall, and shower curtain. I say ride this "get out of cleaning up pee" ticket as long as you can. If he wants to do it like other guys, he will catch on when he goes to school or the men's room and do it on his own.

LOL, im guessing ur a woman, seeing as ur avatar is but anyway shove him in the boys restroom and lock all the stalls, the urinals will be the only source, he'll learn :)

Wow...waited a while there...
But when My mom was potty training my brother she would put cerios in the toilette...just one or two and tell him to make them sink...LOL I think you get where tis is going...but it helpd them to learn to aim...so they don't piss all over the bathroom...Or you can get a guy to actually show him how to do it...
